Hello Zedders, I really need to upgrade my braking system soonish. Standards are shite as it is and having 19inch wheels make it worse. Brake fade and that annoying/embarrassing whistling sound when braking needs to be got rid of. Changing pads helps a little but the problems return in a few months. So need a good upgrade. What are good options?? Need the whole standard setup off. I'm not a racer or a Z thrasher. Don't like people hearing how loud my exhaust is but every now and then, if the straight road is clear..... You know how it is lol.. So for my piece of mind, I want a good setup behind my wheels. Any recommendations or thoughts towards the right di…

Saw the above on USA's ebay site, item no. 220810178809 Cost + p&p converts to £77/£78 although I suppose there could be additional import taxes, VAT etc to pay on top of that! I 'phoned a local Nissan dealer and quoted the part no: 62254-VP100 and it did come up as a front grille but looks like it would have to come from Japan as availability was three weeks. Stated £95 + VAT which equals £114 Anyone else have this part and was it generally available? Perhaps available from our MJP? Cheers as ever! Ronnie

I'm probably in the market to upgrade my turbos (and no one seems to advise me about this on my 'lots of white smoke' thread if you want to read the history) So politics and recent events aside........ do you run upgraded turbos on your Z and what would you advise? Personally I am after maximum acceleration rather than brute power, if that helps to narrow things down...... so something that will spool super fast and give it a damn good kick is what I want! So far, from advice, GTX 2860's have been reccomended Before anyone points it out.... Yeah I know to get the full benefit I would have to upgrade induction/intercoolers/injectors/exhaust but I…

I haven't got exact figures yet but I just got to Elgin on a single tank. 348miles on a tank! Now I normally hate miles per tank but as I couldn't afford to brim the tank again at this end it will have to do. I filled the tank with momentum 99 as I set off and started the trip meter. I decided at Stirling when I had exactly half a tank after 180 miles that I was doing it on one tank or pushing. Now with about 40 miles to go in the middle of lord of the rings I passed a rare petrol station with a fuel tank a woman would call empty. By the time I had 10 miles to go even I thought it was empty but I got to Elgin Tescos after 148 miles. I'll just crunch some numbers…

wonder if people could shed some light on this im just putting my swb back together, the car is originally a tt manual and im refitting the steering columb i also have a spare steering columb which is in slightly better condition and most importantly has the ignition key matched to my lock set including the titanium key. this came from my previous car which i broke which was a lwb tt auto all is fine except there are two extra electrical connectors on the ignition barrel. both have the illumination ring the auto one has an aditional connector half way down (which i belive is the key sensor) the other i am guessing is a lock of some sort relating to…

Does anyone remember a few months ago there was a European seller doing some really classy simple clock facias? I'm looking to remove my plasma glow ones. All my switch gear has blue LEDs in it too, I'd like to go back white but with LEDs. Sharpen it up whilst keeping a stock-ish look

As some of you guys know, I am heavily involved in the Z scene in the US; I go to a number of the shows there each year and I am a moderator on the US forum. Make no mistake, the scene is BIG, it can bit glitsy! I don't think many, if any of your have ever done any of the shows there, but if ever you get the chance, just do it. They're a LOT of fun. The people are super friendly, many of which I now consider family and the cars are first rate. I've been to ZNationals, MidwestZfest, BransonZfest (which is where my commitments lie) and an assortment of regional meets and shows from Arizona to California, the Midwest and East coast. Next year, I've committed myself…

Since I've had the Slicky, there has been an annoying whine when in 2nd and 4th. It was suggested it was likely the lower shift boot had came loose. Sure enough, when I looked into it a few weeks ago it had popped off. Placed back on and sound went away. Driving over past few days, sound had came back. I had to take the centre trim out today anyway, so whilst there I investigated the boot again. The lower boot had popped off again. It's slightly misshaped so I've put a couple of dabs of silicone and put it back in place. Hopefully that will hold it in place and save me having to track down a new one. Also the middle boot rubber had a huge split in it.…

I have a few more thank you's to post. Yesterday I was up at 02:00 showered and out the door to get to Keith's (KJZ32) for 04:30. We set off for London where we were going to collect my new shortie from Mark Freeman. We arrived at Marks around 08:30, where his cousin was waiting to hand the car over, sorry didn't ask names.....lol. From Marks it was over to see Ade (gurteen0) the original owner of the shortie, who owned it for 10 years before selling it to Mark Freeman. Ade had a load of parts he had collected over the years and very kindly let me purchase them from him (thanks again Ade). The shortie was running well except on tick over where there was a mis…
