Hey everyone, as many of you know I sell genuine, glove quality leather shifter and ebrake boots. I'm very close to reaching the 100th customer. Won't tell you how close, but VERY close. Countable with one palm's fingers! The 100th customer gets his/her boots 100% FREE!!! As soon as that is reached, I'll put a post up on this venue stating who the lucky person is. Here's how it works: you order a set of genuine leather boots from me (read on to find out how) and if you get to be the lucky customer #100, you will get a 100% reimbursement along with your boots! And, should you not win, you will still have a set of those awesome leather boots. Here's more…

For those posting in the new forums, can you PLEASE indicate when you had the experience so that readers can assess the likelihood that things could have changed. Personally I'm nervous about the whole thing in that I've had good experiences at places which I've later found to be terrible and bad experiences at places I know are in general great. Please just remember that you can get a great mechanic at an otherwise crap garage and vice-versa ... Dave

Guys you'll probably think I'm nuts!! Got my z'd import about 2 months ago (91 TT 2+2). Everything is standard bar suspension. It's been lowered, stiffened and has sports shocks, oh and not forgeting 17inch alloys. The problem is the ride, its too harsh for everyday use, great for the circuit and loads of fun. However, there is no body role at all, I feel every damn crack in the road and its begining to annoy me. I've managed to find a company whos got a Zed their breaking and I've already bought the stock suspension. Any recomendations as to who I should get to fit it??? Has to be in or near London. I have a local garage in mind, but their not Z…

Anybody know why Nissan chose to use the handbrake circuit to switch the rear shocks into sport mode? I thought US Zs had a sport mode switch somewhere.

Okay peeps, there are two new forums for us to use. When you use them, please bear in mind what you are saying. They are currently unmoderated, but if things get out of hand, Nico and i might have to change that, and validate every post. Believe me, i DO NOT want to do this, as i have a more than full time job already.... Failing that, they might disappear ! If you can present the facts of your bad experiences, then others can make their minds up for themselves. I know we all like to rant about things, especially when something has only just happened, but just be sensible, please. I'm sure all good and bad will even themselves out even…

Is there a search facility to find keywords in the dialogue of all subjects posted in this forum? Useful to find specific problems already discussed in the past.

I'm posting this for a mate with a 94 300ZXTT which has just had a clock conversion from kph to mph... I am having a small problem with the clocks . When I start up in the morning for the first 5 mins/2 miles the clocks read 0 mph. Then start jumping about before starting to read correctly. At the same time the clocks showing zero the power steering seems to be extremely heavy ( possibly disabled) this has happened the last 2 mornings. Anyone got any ideas/seen this one before?

...as mine has decided to permanently eject the cd's, as opposed to only intermittently as B4. It's an 'SC200' Nissan/Sony model, which plugs straight in to the stock cassette player. I don't want to upgrade the stereo,as I don't know how long I intend keeping the car. ( I may swap for a Skyline 4 door for easier baby seat access!)

Would it be a good idea to have a list of insurance companies that people recomend. I thought it might be useful cos I see that that question comes up quite a lot and it might be considered for garages??

How do you get a copy of Bob's CD Manual and how much? Was thinking of shipping one over from courtesynissan.com but if it's here already and someones knocking out cheap copies I'm listening! PS Any one got any spare (whole & uncracked) plastic side bits for the fog lights as mine have recently transformed themselves into cinder toffee (or is it peanut brittle)... bloody hell and I haven't even been drinking! It's 04:23 I have to work these hours to be worthy of a Z though! Silvia chucking out full fog light units for £95 knicker seems a bit steep. Any ideas any one??? Cheers

When I brake I get a slight creaking/Knocking noise from the front but there is no judder or vibration. Its the sort of noise you would expect if something was loose but everything seems ok, there is no play on the wheels and the calipers and anti roll bars are all tight. Paul

  18. .....while your 300ZX is off the road? "Something a little sad happened today. The last Reliant Robin rolled off a production line in the UK. The car is one of those nightmare designs that finds its character as the butt of a million jokes. But against all odds, it just kept going. A 'cheap'n'cheerful three wheeler, it can be driven on a motorcycle licence. Production was low volume, but kids and elderly types upgrading from motorcycle plus sidecar, lapped them up. They were always a bit unstable at speed on country lanes (as a teenager, one of my mates would regularly give us a 'white knuckle' ride in one) but they formed a small part of the British automotive…

I've found a place very local to me that will make a one piece propshaft. (okay Craig and Andy, actually Darren found it) While my z is sitting on the workshop ramp with no wheels on I thought what better time could there be for me to become a guinea pig! The cost is going to be somewhere along the line of £300 plus the removal and refitting cost. The weight of the one piece shaft isn't yet know as they havn't yet made it but it should be slightly less than stock. Email me if interested or if you have any questions. Steve

Ok I need new rubber. I would appreciate some recommendations from those with aftermarket wheels. Sizes I need 285/30/18(10'rear) and 245/35/18(9'front) I currently use Fulda Extremo at the moment and the're a bag of shite. I don't want shares in the company's either if you know what I mean. Steve, what do you use again? Many thanks, Andy

I have just booked my car in for another service. The last service was on the 8/1/01 and here we go again barely a month later. I service mine every 3000 miles as I like to think the Turbo oil is clean and new as possible. Do you all think this is over the top? I'm a bit tired of driving the Hyundai Amica courtesy car so the longer I leave it, the better! Simon P.
