Hi Guys, my gear box seems to becoming increasingly more difficult to select a gear. Theres no crunching of gears, just the stick is real hard to push in to the gate. 1st and 2nd are the worst more so at start up and as the car gets warmer the prob seems to ease up. The clutch is defo on its way out. Are the two related ? cheers Pete

Is there a facility where you can show a counter for the number of times the forum is accessed as opposed to the number of postings? Maybe put a counter somewhere to show how popular the forum is getting? Steve

Has anybody, or does anybody know how to modify the windscreen wiper control system such that it will perform a single sweep ? Intermittent is OK, but sometimes a single sweep is all that is required. Using the washers creates several sweeps, the last of which is always unnecessary. I guess it's closely linked but it always annoys me that it does a final sweep when you turn them off too - if I turn something off I expect it to go off, not prove to me that it still works ! Fixing this would likely solve the problem.

Anyone have any contacts for decent replacement hardware, namely Bolts, Most of my usuall suppliers seem to be on the ball with washers, nuts and Hose clamps but the lack of bolts is concern, im looking for mid to large sizes, mainly for this such as Drive Line and Exhaust Bolts as well as some from the Down pipes and manifolds. Recommendations ? Cheers Z ya Nico91TT

Scanned pubs map, too confusing - and I live in MK (well one of us has to!) So its much more eye friendly if you go to www.streetmap.co.uk and put in post code mk7 8hp this will give anyone in the uk the exact location. Pan out and follow the arrow, it even shows a windmill!, print off all that you need. WARNING: Those of you that don't carry a radar scan etc, Area leading to MK is fearse! Aylesbury, 8 Gatsos. A41 2, Buckingham 2, Leighton Buzzard 4, M1 to MK 1, A5 2 hidden behind sighns. A pointless !!! journey is a wallet and insurance friendly journey. MK has none that I know off ! ! ! Be carefull the most flashes buys the beer! Any more info needed! Jus…

I would just like to say thanks to Pete R for putting himself into the firing line like he has. I'm not trying to take sides or anything like that in any of the ongoing debates that may be going on, i just want to show my respect for what he has done. To come on here and openly ask for criticism, as well as feedback, on his company, service and staff was a brave thing to do. Personally, i hope he becomes a more regular poster, and would welcome the occasional Tech Tip ;) Craig

Anyone who want to upgrade to a bigger ball bearing type turbo made by HKS and capable of producing over 600hp but still being perfectly usable for normal driving.... There could be a place in the GB available if you want to jump in now. Email me for specs and further details. Serious enquiries only please. Steve

As the general forum is getting a higher and higher turnover, some of the upcoming events and sale/purchase requests are getting lost down the list. So, we are creating a couple more forums for us to use. For Sale and Wanted - does this really need explaining how it works ? ;0 Events - This is to advertise upcoming events, give information about them, and for people to show interest in attending. I will fill in as much info as possible when i start them off later. Craig

I have been searching insurance from various places and my best quote was £820.00, Not bad for the 300TT I want (which i'm off to view in a bit). Just for information, I'm 27, 4 years NCB and live in a 'good' area (according to the insurance people) Is this a good quote? What do you guy's pay? (and who with) Thanks Matty.

Whilst changing the waterpump cause of a leak, more disapointment, I have discovered that the bearings have gone in the alternator and also the power steering pump. Also I can pull the front of the power steering pump out so fluid leaks every where is this normal? Has anyone got either parts in working order for sale. It is a jap car so I think the alternator is different size to UK, is this correct?
