recently my turbos have started to"whistle"(for want of a better word)on acceleration I think I read somewhere that this could be an air leak..?? can anyone shed any light please I recently fitted a new intake could this be related? Thanks paulr

I've read that the electronic pressure sensor is pretty unreliable. According to my sevice records mine is about 20k old. How long do they last before they get unreliable? Cold it goes to 90+ but hot idling it can be only approx half way to first mark therefore 15psi. I get nervous when it looks low. Now using full synthetic. Any others with similar exp?

can anyone tell me if it is a good idear to have my cats removed, i've been quoted £80. my Z has done 50K. if so how much will a proper air filter cost me? i'm looking for revenge on a Tvr driver. (I know i will have to go further than cats & filters, But it's a start.) whats your thoughts gentlmen.

I now have an Engine which i am Breaking The reason see my comments over the past few months on the forum. well after almost 5 months of my car being off the road, i get a call saying my car is almost ready for me to come and pick it up, and as per usual they come with a price tag of twice what they quoted me, i mean is there not something i can do about this?

Yes 5 full weekends working on the drive in the cold and finally she purrs. The task was remove/replace a wing remove/repair headlights and front bumper and all undertrays. strip both heads off engine in situ to diagnose problem,remove the rest of the engine. Clean Engine bay,Refit a replacement engine incl Pump cambelt change. Another ZXTT is on the road, Has anyone else on the forum had a similar initiation into owning a Z. Thanks to all for any advice offered on the forum.

My UK tt is not running on full boost, then all of a sudden it goes like mad and the boost goes well up into the + area. anyone got any ideas?

Anyone know the correct tyre pressures for 225 & 245 tyres on my TT

Bit of a boring topic I know, but anyways .. My headlamp washers havnt worksed since Ive had the car. Looking in the workshop manual it talks about a 'fuseable link' (how is this different to a normal fuse?) on the left hand side of the bonnet area near the windscreen. Having checked here I cant see one labelled accordingly. I thought the fuse is the obvious thing to check first. The relay seems to click in and out ok. Any ideas guys? Also, where the hell is the motor that drives the washers, and more importantly how do you get to it. Glenn.

Anyone know where to get a cheap new waterpump from by wednesday cause I got a leak and I have a day off.

when I get to 120-130mph the speedo jumps about and then reads 100mph even tho I am excellerating. Is it the conversion from KPH to MPH that is faulty or have I gone faster than speed of light and have caught up with myself or I have gone off the clock and back round =280MPH. Standard car so I think not.

hi all,,,,,my z vibrates with engine speed when its cold,it more or less goes away when the box is hot or about after half an hour,its worse on cold days,but better on hot days.Its not the engine cos its been rebuilt,and it also did it before hand.the car is a jap auto,done about 90k.could it be anything to do with the primary bearing,where the torque converter slides into. hope someone can help matty P.s anyone selling a jap auto box 0467 371774

One of mine has blown and I have tried several places and get one only to be told , they have never seen one before ???? , My cars a 91 NA Import Please Guys can you help , Where from ? and how much ? I Just wanted to put my 2 pence worth in. I basically wanted to say thank God for this forum. I have owned my Z for just over 3 years (having a 200sx before). I used to travel to a great Nissan garage up near Luton to get my car seviced but after the service manager (who done my car personally) left, I had no confidence in the sevice people left there. I spent the the next 2 years tring to find a descent mechanic who knows the Z without thinking it's just a car. I came across this forum about 3 months ago and I've come across people who care about there cars and who works on them. Im currently thinking about buying a 300zx tt to replace my pulsar gtir, anyway what kind of things should i keep an eye out for ? is leather worth more, any other options that i might come across, is an import better/worse than a uk car ? what is the current asking price for a non/low modded 91-92 tt and is there anything in particular i should stay away from ??
