General Discussions - 300ZX Related

Is there anyone in the UK that is able to supply/modify/upgrade the existing ECU on a UK Automatic TT? I understand you can send the chip to the US, however I want to avoid this. Finances are limited at the moment, so cant spend 100's of £££ on this Can anyone help?

Is it to be DOT 3 or DOT 4 or maybe even DOT 5.1. What do lads use and when you changed over did you see any imidiate difference in Clutching or braking? If you mix any off them together - can it cause problems?

Folks, I'm trying to locate a noise on the drivetrain of my car. It tends to get a little noisy at speed and I don't notice it when I pull away and it doesn't seem to be load related. I seem to remember a list of possible noises and what it could mean. Can anyone enlighten me. I've had a bearing doen thinking this was the case but it's still there. Any ideas? What happens to the two sensors, whether they be cat temp, or exhaust gas temp, that normally connect to them ? Do they just remain unconnected ? I guess the question really is, do they fail open or closed ..... I don't want the dashboad light on all the time when the cats are gone.

Hi Guys, If any of you can recommend a good auto electrician who is near NW london then please let me know. I have a constant drain on the battery and need to get it diagnosed. The drain is coming from extra gizmos the previous owner fitted and the damn things wont switch off bar removing the battery. THANKS in advance.

Some of you guys have got rad kits ordered from me, despite ordering silicone from 2 suppliers, i'm still waiting, so have now done a replacement top hose in stainless, if you have a kit on order and would prefer this alternative to the Samco top, then let me know, if you prefer to wait for top silicone instead, let me know also, cheers smithy, now hopefully the pic !

You read my "How-To"...haven't you ? You need a one Megaohms resistor...it could be 1/4 watt, 1/2 watt..or whatever...makes no difference. You can get it into and decent electronics store...or get an old board with resistors, and find a convenient one. Zee you Henri ------------------
