Nicked from this weeks Autoexpress - Mums the word ! Nissan 350Z That's the fastest-selling sports car of all-time? The MGB? The Mazda MX-5? Wrong - and wrong again: it's the Datsun 240Z. Launched in 1969 with slick looks, great handling and a bargain price, it established the Japanese firm both here and in the US - and proved the last nail in the coffin of the British sports car industry. And here's the proof that the Z is far from dead. It's making a comeback in six months' time - and in some style. We couldn't wait until then to see if it is as good to drive as it is to look at, so we climbed behind the wheel of of an early development car at Nissan's Tochigi …

Ok had to mention this. On Saturday night it is about 10.58 and the mad lot from up north decide to order pizza. Anyway the place closes at 11.pm we get our order in and the guy has to travel 13 miles in the pissing rain. (you would think that would be enough). But no Johhny insists on getting a discount, so we get pizza at trade price muwhahahahaha we got free garlic bread and a discount of what i cant remember. Nice one Johhny [This message has been edited by 300z (edited 07-11-2001).]

OK does a Turbo Timer, Momo Wheel and fooking octane boost count as modification? If so I have no cover and quite frankly fuck owning a zed coz I am only allowed 3 mods with NU Direct, they know about my Bodykit, Wheels and zorst. I forgot to mention the HKS filter and dump valves, am i in trouble, I think i am. Bollocks, I could not get cover with anyone else So by my reckoning I have the following undeclared: Dump valves, Momo Wheel, Turbo Timer, HKS Filter, Speed meter and Fuel/Air mixer (even tho the bastard things are switched OFF). Great ! this renders my car un-insurable as I have no NCB and am on my fathers NUDirect policy. Basically I am giving th…

i went in there today with Johhny for whom they fixed his alloys. Ill let him tell the result of that one. I get chatting its like 2.30 pm and i ask then to gut my cats, well they were busy, but they managed to get my car on the ramps and replaced the cats with replacement pipes. And all i can say is wow, the sound of my super dragger now surpasses anything i expected, it is awsome. I havent had a chance to run the car because of the weather kept spinning in any gear Thanks simon and bill for helping me out. i can really recomend these guys, they are very helpfull. Took my car and filter to K&N and they confirmed what I have said for a week. It dont fit. In fact they know that the filter will not fit the UK spec but yet they will still send it out to people. I got my money back and I'm gonna contact Johnny to get a BlitZ one. MAC1 Says they are good and they FIT which is the most important thing. Stuart

I've got a few stereo bits I'm trying to flog as they are just sitting there doing naff all!! I have the following: Alpine V12 - MRV-F407 4 channel amp (3months old). I want £150 for it (all boxed / instructions) Alpine CVA-1000r Receiver / Tuner. One of those motorised Alpine screen thingys. In the price includes a 6 disc AI-NET CD Changer. I want £550 the lot. I may split the two. Two Alpine 8" Subs in a small box. They are in the back of my M3 convertible at the mo. Unsure of what they are worth but I'm open to sensible offers. (I think they have white cones - look relatively new). There are a few more bits but I'm having a memory lapse at…

As you may have noticed the 'roller blind thingy' isn't much use for mounting speakers in, so..... I have seen a few cool ICE installs but I still want to use the boot, such as it is. I was thinking of an MDF parcel shelf but can think of nowhere to mount the amp apart from the underside of the shelf, not the best place for cooling. How have a few of you 'ICE Experts' done it ? Hi folks, I have an imported 300ZX TT but it is speed limited to 118MPH. Is there an easy way of removing the restriction? I've been looking at the circuit diagram & can see that the signal from the speedo goes to the ECU. If I remove this, will it remove the limitation? I'm also converting it from Auto to Manual box as I fried the Auto box!!!

Guys & Gals, It seems that I'll have to open my dash "again"...this time I'd like to install indiglo gauges at the same time. Anyone has a source of indiglo gauges, for the EURO Spec Z32. That is...with the top speed in the 280km/h // 180 mph area ? And..preferably, a design that does NOT require handle removal. Often people come on the forum with some witty comments or a piss take which is funny. Unfortunatly Porker is not one of them, I dont know if anyone has told you mate but your patter is fuckin crap, its the same old shite over and over again which was never funny the first time round. So just block his account Craig and do us all a favour. Everyone agree???

I actually had a guy try to argue with me on 300zx vs VR4's -_-; needless to say he's quiet now. both quarter mile, and top end times the Z has reached far better times. Z's rule!

Does that record still stand? 10.82 seconds for the quarter mile on a Z32 =)
