Rear Parcel Shelf

As you may have noticed the 'roller blind thingy' isn't much use for mounting speakers in, so.....

I have seen a few cool biggrin.gif ICE installs but I still want to use the boot, such as it is. I was thinking of an MDF parcel shelf but can think of nowhere to mount the amp apart from the underside of the shelf, not the best place for cooling.

How have a few of you 'ICE Experts' done it ?

Depending on the size of the amp you couldscrew it to the back of rear seats????

Thanks for the Idea but the Amp. is a 4 channel Phonex Gold, 4100 i think, and it would need about 8 inches of height, as such it won't fit on the back seats.

Any other Idea's, as I say, I can only think one one.

go the whole hog and lose the boot all together and use it for your subs and amp enclosure.....i can do you a template of the cover i have of mine which covers all bar the subs and big amp i have. the cover is in the pics in the rides section

just my 2c..

but why put speakers in the back.. the place for speaker is where you are... in the front. You should only need small fillers in the rear (can fit in standard enclosures). It's a falicy that the best place for 6x9s etc is in the rear.

With a bit of fitting, you can get a set of 6x9s in the front doors.

Have a look at mine for an idea (infinify kappa 693.3is):

Nice, I'm a fan of Alpine stuff myself. As for the speakers in the doors...

FEK IN 'ELL... but does it rattle any when played at the 'Correct Volume' biggrin.gif ? apart from your teeth and brain !

I never even considered the pasenger seat, it's so obvious, I'll have to check out if it fits. Guess I won't be using the heated seats again, just turn the volume up biggrin.gif

Tooley, now that is a N'ICE install, is that a dreamcast i see ??? I like the embossing too, but I do want to keep the use of the boot. Do you have plan for the cover as I could adapt that to my needs.

Thanks GuyZ

I must admit it is tempting, but I think I'll go for the DIY option bo begin with, maybe you can sort out the mess I make later on biggrin.gif
