Well picked up the new addition to the family and all is well, except we have now located the oil leak - its the power steering fluid. Well guyz they do exist, I decided to test my new TC off a wet roundabout, and yes, it works, mega grin factor. Anyway I went off the round-about down the dual carriageway like a scalded cat, took it upto an indicated 70 and held it there, next thing Ive got blue flashing lights behing me - Oops! I pull up and the copper gets out 'what speed do you think you were doing?', 'about 45 round the roundabout and 70 down the DC', 'try again', 'how much', well we couldn't keep up with you and we registered 89! ok, big weight off my shoulders - i was giving up hope that my zx would ever work properly, but ive found out today that i think it just needs 1 new coil for 1 of the spark plugs. someone is gonna switch a few of the coils around to test the theory that one is out. so....... anyone any bright ideas WHERE I CAN GET A COIL FROM- i think its just the 1, for one cylinder [i hope] any ideas.......ben

I am getting attacked all the time. So far today I have had 1070 attacks totaling 184001 attempts and probes on my computer most if not all on port 1214. Any ideas people? I've just been for a blast for the first time with the TC fitted, all I can say is - I LOVE IT! Excellent fun. If you haven't fitted yours yet, don't shy away from it it really isn't that difficult, took me about 4.5 hrs. Tim

Got my Zed back yesterday after having a replacement water pump fitted. I've been driving a 1 litre iccle Fiat Seiciento for the last couple of days. If you ever think your Zed feels slow, drive one of these, then you'll think you've suddenly got rocket-power when you drive your Zed again! Also, if you need someone who knows how to fix a Zed in the Surrey/Hampshire area, let me know - I know a very nice man! Finger's crossed I'll have a least a few thousand trouble-free miles.....

Just got back from getting petrol and the car is pissing out with steam - let it cool and tried removing radiator cap but brown shitty liquid still coming out... It has also not been giving me the 'power' in normal mode for 10 sec (auto) when I put my foot down for the last few days Please advise...

Just to let you all know that I have been using the car for nearly two weeks now - with the 130w bulbs - and everything is very cool! No melting wires, and no blowing fuses, as some of you predicted. So - go buy them £4.99 each from Halfords - Headlight Bulb 492. If you cant solder - send them to me and I will do it for you!

does anyone know who can supply a larger oil cooler that i can use for the auto box. I've found someone who will supply a cooler (about £60) for me but the fittings are all BSP threaded. What I was really after was one I could use that had the same size flow/return parts asthe existing one so I can just find a place to put it and use the same size pipes with jubliee clips..... any ideas chaps ??? thx

My car is now a feline free zone. The cats are officially off and the exhaust sound very little different from before. Maybe marginally louder and a little bit deeper. The bad news is that a stone went through my indicator lens on the way back from the workshop. So now I need a RH Jap spec indicator. Anybody ??? Anyone with a spare going to the RR tomorrow ???? Anyone ever replaced the bearings on the alternator mine are starting to grumble.?? Also recently replaced the water pump with a genuine nissan replacement only covered about 1100 miles, taken my alternator off and bugger me if there's not a bit of play again on the water pump shaft?? Anyone know WTF going on there??? And no I didn't over-tighten the drive belt. Looking at my fan seems OK albeit stiff to rotate? If anyone can shed any light on this I would be grateful cheerZZZZ Chappies....

Got my wheels back from Pristine Alloys on monday there. Awesome job. Can definately recommend them to folk looking for a decent refurb place. They ain't particularily cheap (59+vat a wheel), but the results were as new. stu

My hicas light is coming on sometimes, checked the fluid level and it's low.. so.. what goes in there then ? is it steering fluid or brake fluid or what ? To complicate matters I switched to DOT5 for the brakes a few years ago, so if it's brake fluid I'll have to get some DOT3. Just want to make sure I top it up with the right stuff... stu

Right I see my dog (MCZX) has not been behaving yesterday whilst I was working!! Rest assured he will be punished tonight. And he thinks its his ZX but who pays for it eh!!! He didnt know what a zx was until I introduced him to mine 3 years ago!!! My HICAS lamp comes on after about 15mins and only when driving around motorway speeds..when on it will stay on until i finished the journey. Jap 92 TT Auto.. Any ideas Cheerz
