urgent!!!!! Power steering. HELP AndyDuff

Well picked up the new addition to the family and all is well, except we have now located the oil leak - its the power steering fluid.

RAC man reckons its a split hose but not to drive it apart from to a garage.

Anyone know where we can get this rectified tomorrow - FAST.

Erm.... I'm in tomorrow biggrin.gif Don't worry too much, the steering will be heavy but as long as it isn't run dry for long it should be ok. Have you found my mobile number on the forum yet??? wink.gif

Hi Andy

I didnt mean for you to look at it, just where could it go to be fixed on a Saturday, but if you feel you could help we would be very grateful - dont I need parts?

Hi Di,

My hose was leaking back in Nov 2000. I had it repaired at Dan Perkins (GB) in Middlesex, the sad news was that all in with new hose, washers ,fluid it cost £554 plus vat bringing it to a total of £651.94. I suppose you could get it done cheaper, but I was a long way from home at the time and was thankful for the repair.

Good hunting

No way!!!!!!!!!!!

Well we have managed to locate the part for about £150, I guess the rest goes on fitting.

Know what you mean, your stuck and you want to get home so your less sensitive to price.

I'll keep my fingers crossed it doesnt mount up.

Cheers

Di
