Does anyone know anything about spraying cars? What method is best to use to get the best finish? Obviously preparation is everything but I'm more concerned with the actual spraying. I'm going to have a crack at spraying the spoilers on my 200SX!

Hi fellas! I've got an ongoing debate with someone with regards to timing and what "advancing" and "retarding" actually means. Perhaps one of you can put this baby to bed ... When changing timing from e.g., 15 degrees BTDC to 13 degrees BTDC, are you "advancing" or "retarding" the timing? I have a "fairly" good idea what the answer is ( but I need backup ... safety in numbers etc. Many thanks! Danny

Anyone know where I can get a similar paint job to some modern TVRs (the pearlescent stuff that changes colour as you move round it)? Mine needs a re-spray anyway and we were talking about it at work...

My Z went in for a full service + cam belt. If that did not cost me enough money! The pipe on the power steering pump was leaking. When they removed the pipe it fell to bits, and now they want £245 for a new one, which they can’t get until end of march. AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH hhhHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are trying to get a local company to make one for £50 wish me luck... ------------------ [This message has been edited by richie300zx (edited 26-02-2002).]

Ok Guys, Im proposing a little trip, probably August to somewhere that has sun, sand, mostly long empty roads, beer and britains answer to Baywatch Babes. I said Newquay which is well known for all these things and accomodation could either be by B&B or the good old camping! (great for girls and BBQ's). Newquay is only a suggestion as I know its propably the furthest south I can find but it is a great crack and u wont be dissapointed. BUT Im open to any suggestions North or South. Just gauging interest and preferences but I need to move fast if its Newquay it gets rammed (with hot Chicks). Had a response from previous posts but just bringing it …

I belive these are the turbos from the Cosworth Sierras/RS200s. I've read that these can produce approx 500Bhp+ on a twin turbo setup. So how come no one uses them? We hear alot about HKS GT25??, Greddy TD0?, JWT and others, but if these can be got from a cossie and built to spec by Turbotechnics or the like how come they are not widely used in the jap performance market? Are they quite large an therefore difficult to fit? Trev

I'm tearing my hair out trying to find the right part number for a serial cable from a Cisco 805 Serial Router to a BT Kilostream box. I know it's a male X.21 interface on the Kilostream end but 3 cables I've been sent have the wrong connector for the Cisco box. It has a mini 26pin female connector on it... Anyone know which cable I need? Need one by wed 9am.

Connected thin wire to middle connector, and with ignition on, checked voltage.... 8.3v. Ok, so loosened bolts and moved tps. When rotating anti-clockwise, the reading jumped to 12v. Moving back, and it jumps back to 8.3v. No in-between! Both tps connectors look clean. Any ideas??? Knackered TPS????
