I've got an ongoing debate with someone with regards to timing and what "advancing" and "retarding" actually means. Perhaps one of you can put this baby to bed ...
When changing timing from e.g., 15 degrees BTDC to 13 degrees BTDC, are you "advancing" or "retarding" the timing?
I have a "fairly" good idea what the answer is ( but I need backup ... safety in numbers etc.
