had the insurance renewal through for the old car to day(toyota corolla 16v f reg), bearing in mind I am 22 with three years no claims and three points the bloody quote was £700 fire and theft, jeeezus what a joke!!!! In a week or so I will have my 300 on the road and the insurance has only cost me £1200 fully comp on that, so where is the logic in that then can some one pleese explain? Oh if anybody is insuring soon check out tesco( yes TESCO) they were cheapest by £300!

I'm looking at putting in a couple of gauges, boost and either a water or oil temp. First question is which to get water or oil? and second question is how hard are they to fit? A mechanic friend said it's no problem to drill into the sump, just do it before an oil change, so oil will flow out and bring any filings out with it, he also said that there should be a rather large magnet in the sump to catch any loose filings within the engine?????????? With the water sensor, can you just use either of the coolant sensor connecters?? Has anyone fitted either of these? Cheers Vijay [This message has been edited by vijay (edited 02-03-2002).]

Silver with nice wheels and huge exhaust - sounded meaty as hell. Seriously fast and raced me about 40 miles too. Every time I pulled up at the lights in town it came along side me. Until a kid walked past and said "Cool car mate" and ruined the reflection in the shop window...

I Emailed Taka Kaira Inc. in Japan yesterday with a shipping query about some wheels. Would you adam & eve it? Email back today! Oh and they can ship within 6 days...WHEELS FFS!!! From land of rising sun! 10/10 and maybe a few more UK companies who can't even provide that sort of level of customer service could learn a thing or two about that. Know what I mean? Shipping cost isn't that bad either considering the weight! Nuff respect to our friends in Jap land! Cheers Zedster for the mention about the electronic rear aero. Hmmmmm, maybe! ------------------

Guys/Gals, Probably one of the first things I'm going to change on me Z (hopefully picking it up this week) will be the tyres as they are getting low, I'm looking at the Goodyear F1's as i've had them before and they rock, well grip - does anyone else have any good preferences..?

HI PEEPS, Found out that EUROTHRASH is per car, with a maximum of 2 people per car. This makes it much better value. Is anybody else up for it?? There also prizes for the best times overall for the two tracks plus some of the longer journeys between venues. It would be good to see some more Zs. Leigh
