When I floor it I seem to get a bit of torque steering from the car and have to correct it with the steering wheel. At my MOT it said slight play at rear wheels but not excessive. My tyre waer at the front has been hammering the inside 2 inches of the tread and am wondering if its the rear play, or maybe the shocks or springs going a bit soft and allowing a bit of 'squat' on one side of the car under heavy acceleration.... anyone experienced this?? Thanks.

Well guyZ its official - stripped down the drivers side today to check out the turbo and sure enough its seized This is the tell tale sign.... As you can see on full throttle there's 0psi of boost - the car feels slower than a brick Compressor wheel is locked solid so.... Good chance to fit de-cat pipes though so there's a bonus. The question is though, how far to go with the turbos??? Want some scope for future mods etc so what have you guyz experiences been with different ones??? Would be grateful of price details etc... hi all, my 1st post here! decided to by a 300zx tt, came across this site and have a few questions. 1, I want a uk model, for insurance reasons, was the twin turbo the only uk engine type or was the non turbo available here too? also body type, was the swb 2 seater available in the uk? 2, performance & econamy figures, Iv seen the official figures, but what about real world stuff - what u all gettin? 3, iv seen a model for sale cheap with noisey tappets, anyone done this? cost, ease of job? (im a technician for Merc so i dont have a problem if it is a big job) thanks in advance.

Anyone know if it is possible to get uprated springs which do not lower the car's ride height? Cheerz Dave

Finished work early today to take my freshly kitted and painted Z out for a 'little run' I only got 2 miles down the road when the car jerked, then lost all pressure on the clutch pedal. It now travels all the way to the floor without effort (and LEONARDO knows how stiff my clutch is!) It is a bit stiffer when the power is off. Any ideas as to what the problem may be? More importantly, is it going to cost big to fix it ? Cheerz Dave

Well I sold my silver UK 300 Twin Turbo!! Now I'm looking for a blue Twin Turbo either Jap Or UK Not really bothered. Would prefer 5-Speed but would also go for Auto!

How long do these normally last? According to my records mine were changed less than 40k miles ago. One side feels like it has a little play on the inner bush. I dont suppose you can muller in new poly bushes here also? Willie

No this isn't another auto vs. manual debate.... My box has got some knackered synchro rings - such that 3rd into 4th always crunches, and selecting reverse is difficult. trouble is I've just been quoted £760 for all parts, labour & VAT. Does this sound a good price? Perhaps I'm just beginning to regret getting my car sorted, and should be grateful that 760 quid will give me another 10 years of reliable use..? Does anyone else have any experiences of getting their boxes rebuilt?? BTW, parts include all new bearings, new input shaft and reverse gear Cheers you Z boffs ------------------ Simon

Hello all, Since I upped the boost on my car last week, the auto box has been hesitant to shift up under full throttle, and as of last night, it just refuses point blank to shift to final gear, resulting in the car revving at the redline but not changing up. Is this a clogged solenoid that an auto fluid change would fix, or am I looking at a rebuild/replacement? Thanks for any help, Brian

How does an electronic boost controller work? does it use a solenoid to open the wastegate? or does it work in some other way.

hi, is it possible to ad strut braces(or antiroll bars) to front top bar front bottom bar and rear bar will I need to buy bars made for 300zxTT or generic ones? I have a front bumper & rear spoiler from my red 1994 UK spec going spare. Also a complete set of tail lights. Any offers? Dave
