Well it's been under a cover for the past 18 months since I bought it but the red shorty is going back on the road tomorrow. Insurance sorted with Footman James - 5000 miles a year, all mods declared including coilovers, personal use plus commuting: £263 quid(!) Started it up for the first time in a few months yesterday and ran perfectly, fixed all the loose bodywork, just the horn to wire in tonight and it's ready to go! Just hope the plates arrive in time tonight! Excited! :hyper: I'm spending a couple of weekends on panel alignment, fitting things, then off to visit peach for a bit of TLC in the next couple of weeks :)

Hi all Fitting my brembos and am at the stage where I connect my new braided hoses and detach the old one. Can someone clarify where I conect too. Seems to me like there is only one place which is where the thin pipe meets the thick pipe on the drivers side its up and to the front of the car inline with the bottom of the suspension spring. Is this correct or am I wrong.? Thanks

Hi guys, been hunting for coilovers for a while, esp seeings as one of Bilstien's gave up the ghost. Anyways as we all know the r32 coilovers kit or can be fitted, who has done this? I believe the top mount has to be modified? I got these super, super cheap. Fronts are Cusco and the rears are Bridgestone, like I said I got these cheap. Downside is that one of the rears is missing one of the locking rings, what information do I need to get off them to order another and where would sell that kinda thing? The rears come with helper springs, should I use these or not?

Hi guy's and girls....... I have been having a few issues with stalling when coming off the gas and slowing for a junction or roundabout...... rev's drop too low and she stalls..... Being an auto this can be a bit dicey with getting into neutral, starting her and having no power steering whilst doing it....... lol Upon investigation today on the good old 't-internet'....... I learned that I have been........ erm......... well.......... stooooooopid by all accounts...... After reading a piece about not fitting dump valves or BOV's that vent to atmosphere..... I realised that I fitted my recirc valves....... but forgot to connect the vacuum pipes to them..... Cou…

Hi, Not sure if this is normal but ive only just noticed it, starting from cold the Viscous Fan comes on quite high then after about 30 seconds goes off, was wondering if this is normal operation? Also I need to get a aftermarket oil pressure sensor and gauge any idea where best to buy one? or if anyone has one on here for sale? And I need to get my ECU remapped and was wonderin if this will be good for the car and may sort out some issues? or am I wasting my money?

Hi, Have recently developed an intermittent misfire on 'low revs' (around 1500 - 2000 mainly) and this when going 'light' on accelerator. If I floor it (or just have a bit of heavy right foot), then there is no misfire at all. I also get a bit of 'splutter' and the odd 'light back fire' when going off accelerator and decelerate (again this mainly happen when revs pass around 1500 - 2000). Car is a manual NA. Spent a bit of time looking into this today, and have determined that it is the 'left bank' (even cylinders) that has the misfire (can hear clearly that it is in left exhaust - right sounds perfect). Cleaned out injector, coil pack and ECU temp sensor connec…

A massive big thanks to automozds Mark derby. yesterday i drove my car 150 miles from Marks place in nottingham to norwich and quiet frankly i could have drove it from scotland to home because i was enjoying myself so much. by the time i got home a had a perminant smile on my face from ear to ear. the car somwhow feels lighter and crisper is an under statment. even with the ebc of the car pulls like a express train. she keeps on going tell i run out of road. that must be one of the best mods you could possibly do to a zed, and i dont even need to turn on the ebc, seriously. you dont need to crank up the boost. the rear end did kick out on the way home as im getting more…

Thisnweekmi bought another 300zx I have owned a 2+2 tt manual uk spec for the last 11 years and still love it but I seen this advertised I knw of it by word of mouth anf the fact its different I went to look and bought Its 1995 SWB, slick top, TT, manual, in pearl white it was imported into Ireland from Japan in 2006 and had one owner from then, much cared for, however in 2012 he got his dream job at Nassau in California, garaged the z in the hope of bringing it over, but with emmission laws there this was not possible, so a ver tough decision made tomsell it. I know he was gutted but all I could assure him was it was going to a good home where it would…

Hi guys Just thought i,d say hello as i,ve only just joined this forum. I havn,t messed with cars for over 20 years now but recently a mate of mine has slowly and steadily got me back into them. His constant chatter about his Nissan Skyline and how it performs and what he wants me to do to it, i used to own an industrial glassfibre company and have repaired and customized a good few cars in my time and now he wants me to build a one off body kit, has got me more and more interested in all things petrol again. We bought a cheap Uk spec, manual 300zx twin turbo 2+2 with the intentions of either re-furbing or kitting it out, as an investment, but i,ve kinda fallen in l…

I rather dislike the headunit in my car it looks out if keeping, out of place and tbh is useless, I never turn it on. Is there a way I can either reinstall the original tape player and or attach some kind of hidden mp3 device? I could then mount three gauges in there without loosing the cubby hole. Bet you weren't expecting that.

Picked a Bose centre speaker up when I was in America a few years ago. Was planning on fitting it but think I'll be putting a turbo timer & boost controller in its place. Never seen one for sale in this country so not sure what it's worth, any ideas?

Hiya. The bolt that slides along the runner that goes through the window is making my window rattle like mad when half way down, I have dissembled the door card and seatbelt harness but can only see one 10mm bolt which holds only the runner in place, is there anyway this bolt can be tightened some how? It's probably just wear due to age.

After deciding to keep her on the road, I thought I'd best get this out of the way. Only done about 40miles since the last MOT but it's been a year of axel stands, diff, subframe and suspension changes along with the full vinyl wrap.... :sweatdrop:

My pads and discs are in need of a change so it seems like the time to upgrade the brakes. I only drive the car a few thousand miles a year, don't do track days and so I can't quite reconcile spending £1500+ for a big brake kit despite them looking nice and no doubt a significant improvement. However, looking at buying used Brembo's off a 350Z pus new discs etc doesn't seem to come out much cheaper for second hand stuff. Suggestions please...

After a new exhaust and don't know what to get at the moment. Budget is about £600 for a full system including downpipes. Would have went for the japspeed system but there out of stock for now. Any other places to buy apart from doing a custom job?
