Think im gona join the broken Z club :cry: This is my second rad in as many months and has gone again in the same place. Its down by the drain plug along at the very bottom. Cant see why this has gone again as the second rad i got was almost new. No pipes has rubbed against. Im changing the gearbox to a manual so do you think i should change the rad to a koyo manual version coz obvisously i will have no need for the oil bit in the rad. Thanks Hanksy

Hi all, Have a bit of a large problem with the camber etc settings on my Zed because it has been lowered. It started with a trip down to my local tyre place to mend a suspected slow puncture on my drivers side front. As soon as the guy took the tyre of it was apparent I had a bigger problem. The inside edge had been chewed up something rotten and the guys could not believe I had not had a blowout! All the other tyres are bald on the inside edges too, but not actually splitting. I have had 2 new tyres on the front for now but I am going to have the same problem unless I get the this set up right. I called a guy that was recommended by my tyre place a…

Simple question, how long should I drive carefully until I can play? 1 or two minutes or longer? I want to look after her as much as I can, so thought I'd ask how long you guys leave it until you mash the fun pedal :p

Like the title says, just wondering which makes are made of polyurethane as oppose to fibreglass? If I were to swap my front end for something else, due to the car being soooo low (speed bumps are a major problem and multi-storey car parks have to be avoided :rolleyes: ;) ), I'd have to go for the flexibility of poly as fibreglass wouldn't last five minutes. I'm pretty sure the '99 spec and Wings West bumpers are poly but anyone know of any others? Cheers, Leigh.

I recently had the rear brake light conversion done to my car, through a relay etc to the switch. I didn't do the work as I am not v good with electrical stuff. Anyways, When I flick the switch (whilst driving) it blows my light fuse in the drivers footwell, but it doesn't blow when the engine is running and the car is stationary. Can anyone offer me any ideas as to why this may be happening? cheers

Does anyone use this instead of the space saver wheel we have? We have a Zafira and the spares been nicked and rather than payout for another just for it to be nicked again, am thinking of getting something like tyreweld to carry instead - a lot of new cars are being supplied only with these cans and not spare wheels so it would save some worrying! Hi, I still have CATS fitted, but from the cats back - all is mongoose. Now I know the danger's associated with removing the CATS - but what about if I remove the silencer boxes - and leave the cats? This will give me clear pipes from the CATs to the tips! ny advantage/disadvantage? As I have just had the whole interior double [sound] insulated - I am now ready for some more 'noise'!! Any experience guys n girls?? AndyGP

saw a nice import tt looked totally standard G REG out site the chinese on outram street, paintwork/bodywork looked imaculate :bow: thats 2 zeds in less than a week when i havent seen one for months, have to sell up now if they getting common round here :rofl:

Im hoping to fit this myself in a couple of weeks just one question, on the clutch pedal there are two sensors on it, well as mine is an auto i wont have these connectors, does anyone know what these are and do? Thanks Hanksy

im getting back into the zed and currently sorting the niggles out, one of them is that the steering wheel needs to be about 2 oclock to drive straight, is this simply that it hasnt been put back on correctly or is my tracking that badly out, i do seem to get a pull to the left when i let go, but is that just road camber as it seems to vary on different roads, what effect does the steering wheel not being on straight have on power steering, hicas etc. thanks in advance

Hey Guys, I'm still looking for my first Zed but am comfused about why the many cars in Autotrader and this site arent selling?! Especially at those great prices! If I had the money I'd get one immediatly. Is it cos its such an underated car and not many people know about them or are there hidden problems? The starter motor would not turn over when the ignition was turned on. Switched off and checked connections to battery, which were okay. Turned on the ignition again - this time no ignition electrics at all. Non-ignition electrics (head lights, side lights, interior light, seats etc.) work okay. Battery and all the fuses still checked out okay. It sounds as though it may be an electrical fault, probably linked to the autogearbox start inhibitor. Anyone experienced this problem or know what the problem may be ? Cheers

Hi All :) My first posting, :bow: starting to look for a Zed in the South West area. I saw a nice auto TT last night, however the tick over after a short run (from cold) was ramping up and down all over the place. Is that normally cause for concern and walk away? Well, after a great drive home, Never went above 80, I got back into my home town, decided to put my foot down a bit, and something went... I don't know what, but now the engine is burbling rather then purring and it's not got any power whatsoever compared to before it happened. I think I may have hit the rev limiter for a brief second, and then it seemed to lose all grunt and it's running really rough :( What do I need to do to check it? Can anyone come and take a look for me, I'm in Braintree, Essex. I'm really gutted, I've only had it 1 hour and I've had to park it up for fear of doing damage by keep driving it... Please help guys I'm thoroughly gutted right now…

Guys, In March 2003, VMTP supplied and fitted a Torque Converter for my Z32 TT Auto box. It now seems as though it is on its way out, when the car is placed in to 'N' or 'P', theres a right racket coming from the bell housing(had the car on a ramp). Now, I have been advised it could be the TC or it could be the Drive plate (whatever this is?). In August last year, VMTP also rebuilt my gearbox (Yeah I have all the bad luck!!) so wouldnt that have had to take the torque convertor off again?? Basically, I have booked the car in with them for the 1st of October, but I really dont want another huge bill from them, not when I have already spent nearly £2K with…

Looking to get new alloys for the zed, :hyper: and don't worry this ain't a question about which look best or what are the specs :x: ..I've got all that... (it is PCD =5 x 114.3, Offset = +35...42 mm, Centre bore = 66 mm) right... Question is... I've got 17s on at the mo and apart from the cr4p turning circle they suit fine. But I'm tempted to go for 18s, which look awesome. Is there any detriment in going up one size more? For example, will the turning circle get worse, and how will it handle with 2 sizes above standard? Do I have to watch out for rubbing etc. ? I know the tyre height will need to be reduced to compensate for overall wheel diameter. What…
