Hi guys... Mr GTO here! :mac1: A post on behalf of my pal who bought my ZX TT from me... He enjoyed blasting the 1/4mile at the GTOuk TERMINAL VELOCITY event he wants to move on and do a little more to the car. :p The question is what next and how much can he expect from the mods. The car currently runs an Apexi SuperMegaphone Exhaust with no cat, and an Apexi induction kit. So the breathings sorted. Now what? Chip? if so where from and about how much. Also what about adjustable boost? Do you need any fueling supporting mods for this? He doesnt aim to push too much and wishes to retain the standard tubs. The cars a '91 Auto Twin Turbo Fank ya…

Has anyone fitted any Corbeau? recaro seats instead of the big leather heavy electric ones that comes as std. Mine are cracking badly and rather than a retrim I was wondering wether to fit some seats in advertised by halfrauds, or the like? If so is it pretty easy and do they look ok, etc?

Yet another Zed spotted in and around Leicester last night............... Black G Reg TT heading towards Broughton Astley last night (1st Sept) about 7(ish) from the B4114. I didn't flash as, i wasn't in my Zed, and i wasn't driving :D.................... I'm sure i recognised this one as well, maybe a member of the Darkside??? ;)

Hi, I'm told i need a new ptu, from what i've read the only way to go is to get the series II on. There's one forsale on the forum, is that the kind of price i should be paying for one? (£100 used i think). How much are they to buy new?, i've read you can't get them in this country? Any pointers??? Thanks, Tony.

my rear tyres are fecked MOT time is 2 weeks away! getting some goodyear F1s i have 17inch alloys and the tyres on there at the moment are 255/40/17 zr should i stick with this size or change to something else i know its a boring thread but needs sorting :) thanks guys and gals greg

My rad decided it was,nt going play ball anymore last week , i phoned nissan for a price !! £277 plus vat , ouch , but not wanting the same problems you get i.e side tanks going brittle and being bloody puny for such a big and hot engine Manta v8 recomended i phoned SERCK INTERTRUCK they looked at the old rad to see if an uprated core could be fitted , the side tanks are available seperately from nissan but they are too slim to fit a thicker core . They said they can make a new rad out of brass with a triple core , aparently having a much improved flow rate and obviously more coolant. The best bit £190 plus vat , quite a good upgrade me thinks ! :dance:

saw a Topless z very nice condition, champagne white in colour, 2 tone OZ 5 spokes, aftermarket front bumper. first this morning in Chaxhill Garage on the A48 Glos about 10 ish and this evening at Elton jcn of the A4151 and A48 about 6 ish wasnt in the zed as it is being rebuilt!!

Red zed that joined mway just before the bridge on way to wales and was stuck in the traffic behind me. I wasnt in the zed i was in the xantia. Ohh this was friday of the bank hols weekend.

I have heard this rumour about the early calipers warping but whos actually experienced it, I can't recall anyone on here, and if you have what where the symptoms?

Metallic grey Z on m4 just past Bristol heading east at approx 8pm, Sunday evening.

I asked this before but it didnt get sorted. Everytime I touch the brakes the dash BRAKE light comes on. I've topped up the fluid, checked all the bulbs. Any other ideas? Thanks

as above really , the left side works and i swapped the bulbs over and thats ok, also should there be 2 bulbs light up each side cos i only get the outer left one lighting up, its that long since i have the car up and running i cant remember if both should light up either side, so to sum it up, ive checked the stop light fuse thats ok, all 4 bulbs light up when i turn the lights on, but only the out left bulb lights up when i apply the brake, but he other three bulbs light up in that holder ok confused i am

I'm after a new immobiliser (and possibly alarm) for my UK Z. Can anyone recommend any good, inexpensive fitters in Nottingham? Also - anyone had any good or bad experiences with particular makes/models?

Right I have a problem regarding a new spoiler as my OEM one is cracked and rotting. I realy like this aftermarket one Can anyone tell me what it is and where i can get one? Also will i need the tailgate skin to be fitted before this? And one more, my bodyshop wants to know some info about the skin, they would like to know what size it is and how it goes on? Any pics of the skin not fitted or being fitted would be great. Thanks you lot! :)

As if not passing the MOT for faulty lights wasn't bad enough, now I have a mojor clutch problem- if anyone could help it would be very much appreciated. Would have to be the first day back to work after my holidays. I noticed yesterday the first half of the clutch pedal was a bit loose or 'squishy', then this morning it started to get difficult to put into gear, then about ten miles down the road it was almost impossible to put into gear. I managed to limp back just getting it into second or third. After I stopped I couldn't get it into gear at all. Is this possibly something to do with the master cylinder, or the clutch needing bled, or something more serious …

Anyone know the diameter of the stock master cylinder? Thinking of trying to get a bigger one to improve the pedal with GTR callipars.

What fun that was. Under totally unscientific conditions on an airfield just north of Oxford, a slightly sick stock silver 300ZX TT (try saying that six times quickly) beat one J Clarkson (with his brand new Selfridge jeans and £400 Farhi jacket) in a stock 350Z. Hi, Regarding the cross springs on the rear calipers. What are they used for and does anyone have part number for them, because they aren't included in the hardware kit. Could I get away with not using them?

because ive been trying to get the near side turbo oil feed pipe off to see if it is blocked it aint an ezzy job but its off and blocked so atleast ive found the problem now all we need to do is pop it all back together :eek: :eek: steve
