So I needed a new cowl trim so I bit the bullet and bought silicone oil cooler pipes as well, would the constant tension spring clips (same as on the fuel lines) be ok on these or would I be better off using screw type clips like the originals?

How’s it going guys? Just bought a 300zx and I’m trying to install a front bumper but looks like some of the brackets are missing, or not. It looks like possibly I’m missing the front bumper retainer brackets? Where are these located and how to install or what not? I’m looking at a hardware set for it. What do I need and where are all these brackets suppose to be? Thanks in advance !

Hi chaps, Does anyone own a Haltech ECU ? I've bought a Dual Channel Haltech Wideband Controller (WB2) to connect via CAN to my Link ECU. The difficulty is the Haltech WB2 requires the firmware updating to support this. I did not know this and was informed it was compatible! Would anyone be willing to receive my Haltech WB2 to upgrade the firmware on it via a Haltech ECU? I'm just shy of sending it back, as I don't know anyone with a Haltech ECU. Anyone willing to help out would be much appreciated, or recommend any options! Many thanks, Stuart

My speedo meter isn't working well, it's jumping up and down or says I'm driving 50 when I actually drive 30 miles. Also the power steering works only when I'm parking, with higher speeds it's not doing anything. I was hoping to fix this by replacing the speed sensor, so I did, but nothing changed. Anyone has an idea what it else can be?

Hi All, I'm hoping that someone can give me advice on how to proceed to get my car legal by showing the correct mileage. I know it's a long read but bear with me on this please. In 2007 I bought a rundown 300ZX from a dealer called Redline Autos based in north London, I think, (and who magically disappeared in 2008) for £2000 knowing it had no MOT and needed work. The mileage shown was around 55,000 KM's - which should have set alarm bells ringing as the drivers seat bolster was worn but I wanted the car. I spent a fortune during 2008/9 getting the car up to scratch, interior/seats, bodywork/spoiler, tyres, windscreen, exhaust etc., while trying to keep the…

Has anyone fitted one themselves? I can’t see how it fits, it’s an inch higher than the original cover it catches lots of pipes and cables. My fuse covers fitted over the originals, so tried that, wouldn’t fit. ?♂️

Hi my friends as you know iam on the hunt for another zed, I’ve found a couple , but need a bit of advice, first I’ve found a t/t auto jap spec it’s a 1994 model, guessing that makes it a series 2? It in white and a lwb it’s not on English plates , it’s kHz which I believe is Channel Islands, it’s had 2 plate changes in its life , the current owner has said the last keeper did the cam belt but unsure about the water pump, it only got mot till December , and is asking £6k for it, no2 is a uk spec on a k plate in black, got power seats and heated as well, and got the original sound system , the owner brought bit from Bedfordshire a while ago , but they say it needs a ne…

I will soon be fitting a Tein EDFC Active system to my Z. It has a controller and a front and rear motor driver module, each of which need a 12v feed. The motor drivers speak wirelessly to the controller, which will be situated somewhere on the dash. However they do need their own power feed, with one module (probably) in the engine bay and another towards the rear of the car. So I need a 12v feed at the front, centre and rear of the car for the 3 devices. I already have quite a few things tapped into the 12v ignition switched radio feed and I have read warnings about this feed not being the best anyway - so I do not want to add another draw to this line. Is an…

I used to use 15208-H8904 but these now seem to have stopped. Can't find any. The FAST supersession says 15208-53J00 which I think is also for SR20DET and quite a few Skylines. Amayama says 15208-H890C which I think is the same as the 15208-H8911 as used by the RB20DET, RB25DET and RB26DETT. Which is the right one? Ta. (BTW hallo all, hope you and yours are well. I'm still hiding away on the IoW ? )

When replacing broken part part on end of key barrel, you need to .. Take door card off Take two nuts off back of handle FROM outside you can now carefully pull handle bolts out Which are part of door handle. At this point you can see both wire rods leave on for now and rotate handle90 degrees or so You now can get at broken plastic part , take rod out of this one leave the other in place What looks like a rivet on end of key barrel is in fact a E CLIP Use small screwdriver and release this Take broken bit off and clean end of barrel put new metal type on and refit E CLIP Now refit rod and rotate handle back to original position m…

Currently up for auction in the US with bidding now at $25,000 with 6 days to run a very clean low mileage example. How high will bidding go? https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1990-nissan-300zx-twin-turbo-54/ Oh, and if that was my car and I saw how it had been lifted off the ground I would hit the roof!

A long shot but is there a common issue with the 300 that drains the battery? I'm sure it’s intermittent but didn’t think much about it as I put it down to a dodgy battery but fitted a new battery a month ago and had the kill switch turned off so all was fine. Yesterday I left the kill switch in at 8:30am and by 2am my alarm starts going off!! Couldn’t turn it off or open the doors so pulled the kill switch. I don’t want to be leaving it like this if it can drain a brand new battery in less than a day.
