Hi folks, I have fitted a new steering wheel to my Zed..... I am not a fan of aftermarket updates, but sought something a little more modern and "chunky" than the original. So sticking with the "OEM-plus" theme, I bought this from Interior Innovations in the USA. I still prefer the look of the original - especially as I had it retrimmed by Hide N Seat a few years ago - however I definitely prefer the "feel" of this new one!!

The clock in my newish (1990) wasn't working so I decided to have a go at it. Solder joints seem to be the main problem so I took mine apart so have a look. It has the 2 piece pcb so I split it by unsoldering the connections at the H and M end, 3 on each side which let me separate them. Using an iron and thin solder I resoldered every joint I could see, I didn't bother unsoldering anything first as the new solder mixed with the old. Took about 10 minutes. Put it back and it worked! That was yesterday. Today a friend with a 1992 300 came in with the same problem. His clock has a one piece pcb. Same plan, resolder everything in sight. Again, it's working. I mess about wit…

  3. I tried doing a few searches and I've sent some emails out to no avail. I even found my old post from over ten years ago asking a similar question. Sadly my zed needs a lot of work and I am based around wembley/willesden now. Any recommendations/suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you all in advance. Vic

Hi all, This year has flown by, so before it's too late, we have to chose our exhibitors for this year's show.... Classic Motor Show | NEC Birmingham (necclassicmotorshow.com) It's a full-on event; you will have to be there on Thursday 11th November (at a specific time allocated by the NEC) to place your car on the stand - and you will not be able to drive away again until late evening on Sunday 14th November. You may, of course, drop your car off on Thursday and then return to collect it on Sunday - subject to leaving the keys with one of us who will be there for the duration. However it would be preferable if you could also stay and man the stand f…

Any one know of a kit going or where to enquire? I stupidly thought I’d just call Bonzai Breakers and I’ll get a kit. They don’t have any and there’s a waiting list?. Was hoping to get it done over this winter.

Hello everyone! I've been lurking on here every now and then since selling up in 2016 but I've really been feeling the itch to get back in a 300zx for the last couple of years. I've been watching the markets for the 'right' one for the past year and not much has come up that got me very excited. I do have a question for which I tried searching the forum and couldn't find an answer....is anyone able to recommend insurers/brokers for Jap imports? ? Of course I google searched also but anyone with a positive experience of any would be good to know!

Just ordered new tyres front & rear. 225/40 Goodyear’s front & 265/35 Nankang rear both 18s fitting Saturday, I have Bridgestone on the front at the moment with nankang rear. Same setup when I imported my zed. So I have gone with Goodyear at the front this time. I haven’t had any tyre issues to be honest so should be happy with the set up.
