My car has an after market momo steering wheel fitted. Thing is, not sure if its on the right boss or what but the wheel feels too far away when i get the seat at a comfortable position for my legs. Now i might just be a freak with short arms and long legs, but was wondering if there is anyway i could safely mod the boss to bring the wheel about an inch or so closer to me? (Thinking some kind of washers or something joined to the boss and the wheel, just incase the boss is the correct one and the wheel still needs moving closer?)

Okay guys, I know have an exchange date of 9th May for my new house and I'm really desperate to sell the Z. So far she's had 2 weeks on Autotrader, 1 phonecall, didn't show up  I had priced her then at £3600 which was by far the cheapest UK car within 100 miles on autotrader. Then she went on Ebay priced £3495 buy it now or £2800 starting bid. Fate took a turn and the car went wrong 2 days before the end of the auction. Therefore the car recieved just the one bid of £2800 on the condition I get her fixed. Then a palava evolved and turned out Nissan couldn't have her in for 3 weeks so the buyer bottled it and dropped out. I have her on this site an…

I’ve just measured my wheel width from the outside rim to outside rim, it comes up 10” dead, as the tyres are on this is the only way that I can measure, this brand (18” WOLFRACE, AsiaTec, TOKYO ) are either 9” or 10” so what is the width of my wheels 9” or 10”? Also, both the front and back have the same size wheel, is this OK? (Tyres: fronts 235 x 40, rears 265 x 35) Thanks David

I can't lock my Zed at the moment. The drivers lock just turns and it won't lock or lock the pax door either. When I shut the door, I now hear a rattle. Has the barrel now broken free? I tried to get the door card off earlier and had no joy.

Idle dropped of yesterday for no reason that i am aware of, it now sits at 500 to 650 ish. When started this morning there was no choke function, ie the revs went straight to 500, as the engine gets warmer the revs rise at idle to 650, no error codes, any help much appreciated as always, David

Since there have been a couple of threads recently regarding ECU checks and the fault codes they throw up I thought I'd check mine. It came up with 42(fuel temp sensor) and 34 (detonation sensor), is this bad? I've not noticed any difference in performance or any untoward noises, does the ECU store codes and then need resetting in some way or do I have an expensive problem to fix?

With my orginal ECU and standard chip, I clearly have an issue with the left-hand O2 sensor, as posted before it remains static, whereas the right-hand sensor oscillates as expected. Today I fitted one of Andy’s Map 2 chips into a spare ECU and the left-hand O2 sensor behaves correctly and I have a bit better performance (no boost jets fitted yet). I damaged the standard Chip in removing it so I’m not sure if it is the new ECU or Andy’s chip that is fixing the O2 reading, but I’d suspect the ECU. Update: I've now put the orginal ECU back and the left-hand O2 sensor in now working, but not within spec, as I have a replacement I'll change it and where what happen…
