ive developed a stalling problem today and being new to these superb cars i wondered if anyone might have a clue.it only happened twice but it was when she was hot and switching from drive to reverse it run very lumpy then cut out but restarted straight away no worries.then sitting in loads of traffic i put her in neutral then when i selected drive she tried to cut out for a split second.every now and then she ticks over a slight bit lumpy but nothing to worry about but 95 % of the time shes spot on .any ideas.

Guys that block under the accelerator pedal....anyone removed that? Is it some kind of restrictor? Dan

Was going northbound on the A12 and near the Stratford St Mary turn off (just after Colchester). I was going the other way so didn't see the reg, but it did have a standard rear spoiler. Anyone here? Gaz

Howdy guys, Am a newbie 300ZX TT Auto owner and, I hope I wont get into trouble for asking this, but, is there a place where I can download info on the Owners Manual, Workshop Manual and Microfische ? Theres buttons in the car and I dont know what they do, and just wondered if this was available on the public domain anywhere, am tryin to cram as much education in as poss as me cars not performing correctly (0-60 in 7 secs despite full boost) Cheers in advance. Hi Guys I picked up my Z (300ZX fairlady) yesterday. She’s beautiful. Pictures to come. There are a few small things I want to ask though. 1) The most important thing is that the speedo isn’t right. When my speedo shows 40mph I’m actually going about 50mph and it get worse as I go up in speed. As it was an import I’m guessing that it was in Km, but the dial now shows mph with km on the inside. Do you think this has anything to do with it? 2) I can’t get cruise control to work above 55ish mph. But given the problem in 1) I’m probable driving at about 70mph. 3) After a very long run, there appeared to be a leak from the very front on the right hand side. …

Just recently i,ve been getting the old smoke on tickover problem, but it,s only a quick waft of smoke and then it,s gone :confused: Now today i removed my hard pipes (which are Stainless ones ) on the n/s which is the side that smokes occasionaly , am i right in thinking , if the tub seals were on there way out i would have a coating of oil or at least some dirty looking coating on the insides of the hard pipes as mine are still clean and shiny ??? Am i right in thinking It,s gotta be my PCV valves, hopefully :hyper: Also it,s sprung a water leak , seams to be coming from behind and below the n/s throttle body and dripping down onto the a/c pump but can,t see wh…

From the pic, if you have a look at the highlighted section of the three bolts shown, would i be able to attach a custom tow eye to this part of the section would it be able to handle the weight of the zed when it has to be towed on to a recovery truck It looked pretty tough when i looked and inspected it

I just change my fuel filter today and also change the pipe going from it. It had a sleeve on it which I took off to put on the new one only I can't get it on! Just wondering what it is for and if it is really necessary to put it back on? Thanks.

so sorting my spoiler brake light and few other bits out found the following loom disconnected, should i reconnect? whats it 4? behind passenger side rear speaker encloser in boot, by the rear seat if u reach through the enclosure. has 3 wires red, brown and yellow with white connector. my zeds uk tt, 99spec rear lights, etc just wondering what this is 4 thanks guys n gals

Hi, I am brand new 2 the 300ZX world..... yesterday in fact! :nana2: & am very excited!!! But..... I have a small question. There is a red HICAS light on, on the dash. Now, i believe this has sumthing 2 do with the traction/power 2 wheels? Question is, Why is the light on, what r the dangers & what do i need 2 do 2 put right??? Has anybody fitted EBC brake discs to their Zed? Are they OK? I'm looking for replacements for my front discs, but without needing to go for any expensive upgrades as my car is only used for normal driving. Ta.

can you get to the block cooling drain points with the engine in. i cant see them anywhere they say they are :headvswal

Could someone explain the difference between these and standard rear lights? Pictures would be great.

My car has an after market momo steering wheel fitted. Thing is, not sure if its on the right boss or what but the wheel feels too far away when i get the seat at a comfortable position for my legs. Now i might just be a freak with short arms and long legs, but was wondering if there is anyway i could safely mod the boss to bring the wheel about an inch or so closer to me? (Thinking some kind of washers or something joined to the boss and the wheel, just incase the boss is the correct one and the wheel still needs moving closer?)

Guys whats the easyest way to access the abs unit? Ive searched and i think im right in saying that as my zed is a 2+2 uk TT it should be drivers side in the boot under the speaker panel? How do i get the panelling out of the way to get access?

Okay guys, I know have an exchange date of 9th May for my new house and I'm really desperate to sell the Z. So far she's had 2 weeks on Autotrader, 1 phonecall, didn't show up :rant: I had priced her then at £3600 which was by far the cheapest UK car within 100 miles on autotrader. Then she went on Ebay priced £3495 buy it now or £2800 starting bid. Fate took a turn and the car went wrong 2 days before the end of the auction. Therefore the car recieved just the one bid of £2800 on the condition I get her fixed. Then a palava evolved and turned out Nissan couldn't have her in for 3 weeks so the buyer bottled it and dropped out. I have her on this site an…
