Were would be the best place to pick up a Turbo engine with if possible the ancillarys?? Anyone any good bad experiances from suppliers of "low millage" jap engines etc etc ??? Thanks

hi all i have a manwel tt with a set of bovs, decated single exit katimoto exhaust and a set of k&n pannel filters. and as you can guess i filled it right yesterday, now i have used £15 and only done 45 miles, this is driving it normally and changing gear between 3-4k rpm, is this about right??? seems to have gone down to me rich

Hi All Yeah I know what you are think...'oh not him again', but I am new and need your help. I saw a guy at Bolney Bridge who had bags for his tiger tops. Are they standard or did he make them. If they are standard, where can I get some from? Secondly, my manual says that you can get a rear parcel shelf. Yeah I know it is soft material like a roller blind, but does anyone know where I can get one from. Oh and lastly, the manual also says that you can get blinds for the tiger tops. i know i want 225's on the front with a 17" rim but what other dimension do i need? need to go to local tyre place in the morning for a few quotes so i can decide what to do next. cheers in advance, nick

i recently change the water pump on my TT, and at the same time decided to change the timing belt, just being nosey i took of the crank angle sensor, refitted it but when i started her up it was running on 4 cylinders then cleared and started running on all 6. i have rechecked the timing belt and they are spot on but every now and then she runs on 4 cylinders. can some one tell me if there is a set procedure for fitting the crank sensor and checking thestrobe timing please regards bigmo

I'm about to take delivery of a newly imported JDM TT and i'm concerned about keeping the auto box from overheating. i've seen the auto gearbox cooler on the Z-Centre web site, http://www.zcentre.co.uk/shop/product_info.php?cPath=21_50_82&products_id=191 . Does anyone here use this kit? Will using the original engine oil cooler as a gearbox oil cooler provide enough cooling to protect the gearbox?

Had a vented nose panel (2 vents- sorry I can't identify which type! :) ), standard rear lights and a loud exhaust of some type. That's the best description I could get from the Westbound carriageway in an unremarkable silver Astra! Mark

After about 15 mins driving the power steering goes stiff , slow down and it gets better , fluid level , belt tension , all ok ?????? all ive done lately is swop from auto to man box . Its N/A so no hicas

Had the car for over a year now with no problems but changed the stereo at the weekend which meant taking of a dash pod with gauges in it. Last night when i was out in the car I hoit a bump and the full beam came on and no interior or rear sidelights! Hit another bump and back to normal then on my way home happened again and now the lights are staing like this! :headvswal Not electrical mided but anybody got any idea where i should start?

My zeds just flooded again, its now happened three times in the last four months. haven't used it for nearly a week (which is when it normally floods) before it was parked up i drove it for about 60 miles (so no quick short moves the night before!) yet it floods if you don't get it started the first time it turns over, having to remove the pump relay and frig about with that for a bit to get it to start. :headvswal :headvswal once its started it will start fine for the rest of the day, just that first time in the morning... please help me Car is 89 jap Twin Turbo Auto, has had a recent service (inc plugs), battery is good (bout a year old), no mods…

Z32 recomended offset is +35 to +42mm ? Z32 Wheel fitment bore is 66mm ? Bore What are my options if I purchased some alloys with a 60.1mm bore ? Can they be machined to fit, can you get spacers that work as adaptors ? Offset If the offset of the alloys is +20 ...does that mean it will stick out of arch further or tuck inside more...will it give more or less caliper clearance ? Are Spacers used for alloys with a Higher offset, or a lower offset than the recomended ? :confused:

I have my aircon and windscreen wiper control switch gear removed from the car. I want to take apart the windscreen wiper module, have removed the securing screws so the module is ready to come out apart from the thumbwheels are retaining it in the plastic housing. My question is ;- how are the thumbwheels held in? Will they simply pull off? Would appreciate some experienced advice in case I trash the plastic surround. Thanks

Howdy guys. I was just wondering what my options were with regards to Air Filters ? I have put K&N's on cars before, but to be honest I aint even looked at the filters on me 300 yet, only had her a few days :) Do these cars have two filters ? and you you recommend say K&N over PiperCross ? or are there forced cold air kits you would recommend I spend me money on? My car has one of Luke’s converters and the Speedo and steering is fine (in the paperwork with the car was Luke’s simple instructions for wiring in the converter, so I guess that it was done properly). My problem is that when I connect Datascan, the car is sending it KM/H rather than MPH, really frustrating as to do say a 0-60 speed test, I have to set Datascan to KM and do a 100 KM/H test, is there anyway that I can change this to MPH?

Hi All, I'll start with a brief history. Bought a Jap import NA last September - had it 3 weeks and some dozy sod wrote it off for me!!! Bought the car back off insurance and bought new wing and sidelight from AndyZ (excellent service). Well i think i have . Driving around town yesterday and i heard what i can only describe as a tinkling sound from the plenum area then suddenly it started to missfire. So i pulled over and the car started to run fine again.Then the dreaded cam knock started along with the missfire which only lasted about 30seconds and went again. Anyone had this happen to them? Help and advice appreciated. Steve.
