Hiya guys. Well I got about £120 to spend on the Zed, I would like a boost gauge, but rather than spend say £50 on a gauge and a single pod, could I get some digital boost controller that will also show me what boost am running for that kinda figure ? Whats my best options on monitoring boost levels with me £120. Cheers. Matt :)

Are Zed headbolts stretchbolts? Do they need replacing when refitting heads? I recall reading somewhere that the headbolts on Zeds were not stretchbolts.

Howdy guys. OK my car came with two nasty tape players in, neither worked, so I whipped em out only to find neither had power running to em anyway. So I junked the two nasty units and I would like to install a nice JVC cd player I seen in halfords. I am just unsure I will be able to do this, as the wires that are in the car make no sense whatsoever to me :( Can anyone make head or tail of this lot ? theres a single brown wire, red, black, then one black wire that goes into a great bunch of wires, that cant be right can it ? Anyway heres a pic of what I'm presented with, any ideas guys on if I can install a new cd player with whats there ? and also…

I now think ive ruled out a problem with the boost controller, unless it is the soleniod stuck in the same position. Even if i turn off the boost controller off all together, its still pumping out abou 15 psi at wide open throttle, having said that if i put the controller on the hi setting it can hit max of 16psi before it alarms and backs off. Fookin thing is doing my head in, is there a simple method of unplumbing the controller and putting it back to stock, to rule the controller out altogether. Its a greddy profec e01 if that helps. Any ideas appreciated on causes of this or ways to test the wastegates etc. :headvswal

Is this an acceptable way to install my Greddy Profec B II without struggling to access the wastegate actuators, access and un-plumb the standard boost solenoids? http://www.twinturbo.net/ttnettech/avcr/avcr.html Basically rather that inserting fixed boost jets in the wastegate actuator feed, I’m inserting the boost controllers solenoid. As I am using the existing lines that connect to the actuator I accept that the minimum boost will be 9PSI and not 7PSI Thanks David

Hi there. Thanks Jason for realising it could be a propshaft bearing. Anyone going to the grasshopper meet that I could take out for a quick spin to confirm this. If it is this how much can i expect to pay to sort it? Also, exhaust starting to blow a bit, wheres the best place to get performance exhaust? Simon Horner (Counting down the days to my first 300ZX meet!!)

my maf went the other day, wouldnt rev above 2500, wouldnt drive above 2500 now before it went all together, the car used to drive crap, it would miss and sometimes back fire when cold, then when warm it would hesitate when pulling away, then when backing of the throttle it would missfire slightly again, then it wouldnt feather the throttle in, it would just stop then start to judder as if someone was pressing throttle on and off slightly so i put a new maf on and reset ecu (dissconnected batt for few hours) put it all back together and it was great the throttle response was spot on there was no missfire and ran sweet as a nut but now 100 miles on and its b…
