hi guys i need one rear tyre for my car, currently a continental contisport n1 245/40/zr16 i found a few 2 weeks ago on the internet and on froogle, but today its as if they have been wiped off the face of the earth! I cant even search for the tyre size anymore let alone the tyre itself! does anyone know where i can get such a tyre? Or where I can get that size tyre?! thanks darren

Had a lovely little envelope come through my door this morning with a £100 fine for driving in a bus lane on a Saturday afternoon. It comes with a groovy little picture of my car, and the hideous violation I was committing! Thing is, I was not driving in the bus lane, but two of my wheels touched the white line as I passed a car that was turning right and had its arse stuck a bit into my lane. Anyone know if I will get let off if I contest it?

I posted a little while back mentioning how I didn't think the apexi flowed as much air as the HKS mushroom filters. When I put the apexi on a few months back the car rarely boosted above 12psi. For the brunters thrash yesterday I fitted the HKS back on as the weather looked good so no rain problems. Straight away I boosted back up to 13.8 my normal amount. Are there any other reasons for this that anyone can think of or is it purely due to the filters ability to flow air, and the intake diameters, or is it also the limits of the air that the stock size turbos can flow? It would be nice to see what power was produced with bigger tubs as the engine is built for that, p…

A previous owner put 18” x 9” wheels all-round, whilst these are perfect for the 265/35 rear tyres and rear arches, the 235/40 tyres leave the rims very exposed and prone to kerbing. I would like to know the issues/options of my current setup other than looks and kerbing risk, are 9” rims too big for a 235/40 tyres, could I put 245/40 tyres on or would they foul inside the arch. Or apart from poor looks and kerbing risk are they ok? If the 9” rims need to come off, I’ve found out that I can get a pair of 8” rims for the front for about £250ish.

Hi, The previous owner of my NA replaced the stock air filters with 2 cones. However, these are falling apart and rusty and basically need replacing. Is it worth putting the stock ones back on or do you recommend sticking with aftermarket cones? Cheers, Dom

well the new leather is in finish tomm next is the sounds but i`m lost with so many things on the market and i aint got a clue. was looking at infinity subs and amp then infinity speakers to with another amp but jbl do some nice bits and what power do i want the amps and the speakers to be etc..anyone got any idea what to do...thanks

Hello all Been looking on ebay and well my car has a sports exhaust (looks like the orginal one but much bigger ends) And a induction Kit I am thinking of adding decat pipes (On a 1991 it hsould be lega?), a better manifold, chip and iruimum sparks plus Is this a good idea? Anyone do chipping? Are decent spark plugs worth it, running NKG (or is it NGK) spark plugs (brand New)

Me again! I was having a nose around in the engine bay and noticed this pipe wasnt connected to anything. It was just hanging down. On normal idle, the pipe doesnt blow or suck, but when I reved the engine, the pipe sucked in air. Anyone know where it goes and what its for? Oh yeah, its on the off side, right next to the brake booster. Thanks! :D

when you dyno a car you let it slow down in nuetral to find out the loss is it the same with a auto and is it ok to do it with our aged autoboxes( change into nuetral at the end of a run) Thanks Kev

I have to change the drive belt. The timing belt need chaning sometime to, Just wanted to know if it was a smart thing to change the timing belt now...

I think I may have it... Is it as loud as when you have noisy lifters on start up, or go you have to strain your ears to hear it when driving? Also, does it only occur when there is load on the engine? I've searched for these but didnt come up with anything. Thanks everyone! :D

okay so i drove home from work (40 min ride) and had the car parked for about 5-6 hours, then i wanted to go out with friends car wont start...makes a noise like somthing is spinning but the fan does not movie or anything, no engine shaking... the 1st time you turbn the key nothing the 2nd then it does that sound.. i smell gas... could it be the starter... would that make the loud "turning cranking" like sound? thanks guys!

Take a look at both pics,turbos arrived today and just need quick bit of advise, the bolts with the asterix next to them were loose and i mean i could undo them with my fingers the other two were tight.On the other turbo all four bolts were tight,now i asume all these bolts should be tight am i right?also the last pic of the blades do standard turbos have blades that look like that?more to the point how do i no if these are built to stage 2 hybrid specs? one more thing dont laugh at my attempt to draw arrows LOL

OK, silly question of the day: Are grooved/slotted brake discs 'handed'? The discs I've seen have grooves that seem to curve so these would curve the opposite way if put on the other side of the car. If I buy 2 x discs will they supply a left and a right one? Graham.

Hi guys, ive got a group buy running atm for royalpurple oils. I just want to check that the information im quoting is correct and to check what ratings of oil people are using : Im pretty sure these quantities are acurate, but wanted to check the ratings side of things. After searching the american zed sites it appears that people seem to use 80w90 in the diff / 75w90 manual box and a dexron III for the autobox.
