Thought I'd pop by on Saturday for a chat so got in the car and drove down from Ipswich. Spent the whole afternoon looking for the bloody place! Satnav said, "you have arrived at you destination" when I was on some little country lane with fields either side! :rant: Oh well, at least I had a nice drive around the County of Wiltshire! found this on a old thread is this correct has i turned mine off today and seems to be like this With the AVC-R off, and the standard boost solenoid disconnected (as you do to fit the AVC-R), you'll only ever be running "safety boost" - because the ECU can't open the boost solenoid to bleed off some actuator pressure so that you hit standard boost - which is 7psi or thereabouts - so 6.5 would be very nearly spot on..

Just had someone attempt to fit an upgrade chip to my ECU and he's fooked it up :headvswal . Any body got a chipped ECU for sale or an ECU they can chip for me.

I recently found a 1991 nissan 300zx twin turbo, the car has 137k miles on it, almost 138. I have $10,000 to spend on the car and repairs and such, to get it on the road and insurance payment the first month, tags also. He is asking 8,000 for the car..Is this a good price? I looked up prices on nadaguides.com and kelly blue book and in excellent condition the car is only worth Excellent $7,360. An older man, sounded like he was atleast 40 had the car. Ground effects, rear spoiler added, with wider tires in the back to add better grip to the road. Over all it LOOKS to be a good car, but mechanically how would it stack up? What more (within reason) can i do to see power gains without spending a fortune ........... chip ? . I just swap a tt for a na car didn't want to start, some explosion but not enough to make it run... after I verify the coil packs, spark plug, fuel pump & injector connector (which i cleaned) 2V each idle I bought a quick start bottle (fuel spray) spray some in the throttle body and the engine start good for the time it consume the quick start fuel. how do I make these injectors work!!!! Please Help! I want to ride it this summer hehehe...

At Drayfords on the A61 Derby Road at around 8.50AM Saturday morning. Silver Zrd with (i think) 5 spoke chrome wheels

when i switch my avc-r boost controller off the reading only goes up to around 0.33kg/cm the car is new to me so thats why i turned the controller off for now and when it was on it went to 1.02 kg/cm thats 17 psi scared the shit out of me when i saw it. the aftermarket gauge has stopped working now so got to see why this is and the dash gauge goes to jtst below the 7 does this seem right to you thanks

The chrome on my alloys is showing its age and looking pretty ropey. Im thinking about getting the kerbed rims fixed (maybe do it myself what do you think?) and then spraying the center of my 5spokes black and keeping a chromed ring. Thing is ive never done this before, so guessing its not just a case of sanding down the 5 spokes then hamerite-ing them? Is this feasible job to do myself?

Somebody mentioned they got some Alcantara off e-bay recently, but I've done a search and can't really find anywhere that does the proper stuff for a decent price. Anybody got any recommendations / contacts? It would be for a re-skin of the doors, centre tunnel, dash etc but not the seats.

Just took the centre trim off the hatchback and found a long steel weight hanging in a rubber suspension system, in a steel bracket. Is it just an elaborate weight or does it do something special. ( Another 1kg saved )

Ok, it's gonna be MOT time for me in the next couple of months and I'm looking to replace my standard front discs as they are worn out and the hairline cracks have started to open up in this summer heat... :rant: I don't want to go down the route of fitting Skyline R34 Calipers so i'm just looking for the biggest grooved discs I can fit on the front which will fit the standard calipers without any messing around ... I saw a car with these buttons fitted on an aftermarket steering wheel at the recent Grasshopper pub meet in Westerham, but left it too late to ask the guy about it! Can someone tell me which wheel I can get to still have the cruise buttons fitted and useable, on the one I saw they were in the centre of the wheel around the horn button I think. I really want be able to use my cruise AND have an aftermarket wheel.

Ok folks, purchased some AZEV A alloys which have a softline matt finish. Am I able to send them somewhere to have them polished like the Plenums to get a sparkle mirror finish ? Thus, firstly is this at all possible from matt to mirror finish and secondly can anyome recommend some where to have them done in the London / Middlesex / Hertfordshire area. Any idea how much it would cost with downtime etc. Thanks.
