Passenger side seatbelt is getting more+more reluctant to rewind itself, is this just a case of removing the door panel and squirting some oil in ? Any tips for removing the door panel i.e. are there any of those poxy plastic clips that always break ???

fitted the u/d pulley and had lots of belt squeal - even tightening them resulted in a squeal from the alternator belt when revved hard. Spray WD40 on pulley/belt - shut em right up. Not had the squeal since - Im thinking there must be a grease or something on the pulley, so if your getting squeal it may be worth spraying with wd40 before you get under car wielding spanners.

Hi all, I came across this site by a google search as I am looking at buying a 300zx TT. I have to say the technical section has given me alot of advice and some good points. My question is is there anything else I should look out for as I am new to the ZED. I have previously owned jap cars but am having a change from my S2 RST. If the sale goes ahead I will become a full subscribed member by the way. Nice Site guys ;)

Hi guys, I have about £1000 - £1250 max to spend on mods for my motor! At the moment I have the standard filters, so am interested in an induction kit that wont cause MAF problems (Maybe Smithy's dual cone system). Also, I am interested in a boost controller, which would mean updating my ECU. What can I get for between £1000 - £1250? Also, any recommendations of makes & models and places where to get installed. Thor Racing look very good! I have looked at Thor Racing's website Thor Racing and I can get an Apexi Power FC and commander unit for £675 + fitting and remapping an extra £412 + £280 for a boost controller + £300 to fit boost controller. (I…

Hi all, I've been told my cams are fecked. I'm having the bottom end rebuilt but need to replace these or repair them i'm not sure what state they are in. If i was to buy new cams can you recomend a good all rounder, better performance while still being drivable. Is there another option? or just buy new ones? Thanks.

My zed has decided to dump all its water in my garage. :headvswal in one respect I am fortunate becase no damage done becasue i haven't driven it anywhere - but I dont want to drive it to a garage and risk my newly rebuilt engine overheating. Is there anyone near Bromsgrove just south of Birmingham who can lend a hand? I generally hand my car over to Z-Tech, but they are in germany right now!

is there an easy way to adjust fueling? as i seem to be running seriously rich, getting black soot building up on back bumper, i know its better to be rich than lean but i just think it seems to be ripping the arse out of it seeing as im running such low boost, and more importantly its costing me a fortune in fuel!

I know it's a personal appreciation but what are your front and rear settings ? The springs are Eibach. I just tried this WE : 1 & 1, it's very confortable, like OEM. 5 & 5 is harsh, bumpy and unbearable.

was it just me yesterday having serious detting problems, had to give it a motorway blast and the hot sticky weather and 16psi was totally maxing out the standed intercoolers :( water temp=95,oil temp=105 and the car was was findind it hard to make consistent boost without clicking the safe boost. took it out before and wound it up to 16 psi no problem, looks like i/c upgrade on the cards

Thought I'd pop by on Saturday for a chat so got in the car and drove down from Ipswich. Spent the whole afternoon looking for the bloody place! Satnav said, "you have arrived at you destination" when I was on some little country lane with fields either side! Oh well, at least I had a nice drive around the County of Wiltshire! Just looked on their site and clicked on the Location button.... I'm sure it was put there AFTER my Zed Adventure! :D

found this on a old thread is this correct has i turned mine off today and seems to be like this With the AVC-R off, and the standard boost solenoid disconnected (as you do to fit the AVC-R), you'll only ever be running "safety boost" - because the ECU can't open the boost solenoid to bleed off some actuator pressure so that you hit standard boost - which is 7psi or thereabouts - so 6.5 would be very nearly spot on..

I recently found a 1991 nissan 300zx twin turbo, the car has 137k miles on it, almost 138. I have $10,000 to spend on the car and repairs and such, to get it on the road and insurance payment the first month, tags also. He is asking 8,000 for the car..Is this a good price? I looked up prices on nadaguides.com and kelly blue book and in excellent condition the car is only worth Excellent $7,360. An older man, sounded like he was atleast 40 had the car. Ground effects, rear spoiler added, with wider tires in the back to add better grip to the road. Over all it LOOKS to be a good car, but mechanically how would it stack up? If i can talk him down to like 6,500 would it be a …
