Hi, I have an aftermarket exhaust on my zed twin turbo, it was on the car when it came in from japan, however the centre box knacked, it was making a vibrating noise so I reckon the baffle pipes inside went, anyways theres a couple of flanges about 4 inches from the front and the flanges at the back end are about a foot towards the rear cans on the bends, what my question is, is will any centre box like a standard one fit in via the flanges, or with it being an aftermarket thing will I have to have a centre box made for it? I replaced the box with two pipes thinking this would sort it, but it's making the car run like a bag of hammers, something to do with eliminatin…

Am i right in thinking, that when air con is on, the centre flange of the aircon pump spins? where the belt goes, which obviously spins all the time, the centre should spin when on yes? well, mine isnt, checked all the fuses, and they are fine 3 in footwell, and one under hood. looked in the sight glass, and can see no bubbles or beads. any ideas please, im boiling

I knew it would happen sooner or later, and sure enough, yesterday I got my first big Zed headache... I noticed a bad smell in the car first (fishy) and then I noticed that the temp guage which has always sat dead centre, was off the top of the scale. I parked up and looked underneath, and water was dripping out (quite a lot) from a little way behind the front wheels. I limped the last mile home and popped the bonnet to hear a whistling sound and some steam. Not good. :( I have very little mechanical knowledge, and I don't want to drive it at the moment for fear of killing it. Can anyone suggest the most likely cause - or indeed what might be the problem…

When i start it up, i can hear a slight hissing from behind the engine and the revs drop straight to 700rpm (roughly) without it doing the warm up thing of revving over 1000 then dropiing when it's warm. what could be hissing. this co incides with the stock boost guage not working anymore as well! hmmmmm....

Well, it seems like a few others here, I have been suffering from a 'bit' of wheel shake. I had it in the garage yesterday and gave them a list of things to check (HICAS arms, ball joints, tension rods, bushes, propshaft etc) and they went all over it and said that it was in fantastic condition. :) The only thing they could come up with (as a starter) is a 'harmonic balance weight' which is missing from the back of the gearbox. Looking at the back of the box (mine is a manual, not sure about an auto) there are 2 studs where this weight should be. If anyone can get me one or tell me how big/heavy this weight should be it will make me very happy as then, hopefully, it will …

At present I have 19" wheels, 8.5" fronts with 235s on and 9.5" with 265s on. I have a new set of 19" wheels on order, 8.5" fronts, but the rear are 10". I was just going to transfer the tyres across, but was wondering whats the max tyre widths I could go for on the fronts and rears? Thanks Barry

I'm think of buying one of these from a forum member for 300 quid. Its used but only done about 300 miles. Anyone know if they are any good, the seller says they are much better than smithy's organic street clutch as the ACT is not organic but a proper heavy duty clutch. Should I get the ACT or spend 30 quid more and get the street clutch from smithy?

Ok folks, please excuse my basic fly by night question. Just would like to know what advantage is there by replacing the stock injectos with bigger ones like the Nismo 555 ? Is it simple plug and play ? Does the ECU need to be re-mapped or the timming re-adjusted ? Last question, would bigger injectors on their own make bhp increase or is there other things I need to upgrade ? Thanks !

My zed has remote start and one of the circuits that works before ive put my key in the ignition is the drivers side electric window. I want to use this 12v live to trigger my carputer to start up so its ready by the time i get to the car. Ive covered the electrics as far as starting the laptop, but i need to find where the source of the power to the drivers electric window starts (as in the 12v live). Cheers all (as much detail as possible be good as im no auto electrician)

I assume it's a Japanese one labled as 'Central120 Racing team'. Made it a nice easy job to replace it with my new DTA one :) Also noted that a Yellow/Green wire was deliberately disconnected, anyone know what this wire is for or can point me to the wiring diagram so I can trace it. Gaz

HELP Have just had my car down for the MOT and was told it was pointless to go through with the test because of my co2 emissions. The readings have to be no more than .30, and my car is reading 6.95  on the left and 7.1  on the right. So if there is anyone locally who would be willing to come over at such short notice and help to turn down the the fuel ratio and replace an O2 sensor (PS I dont have all the tools needed for this job) and get the emissions to a passable level then a big thanks and a pack of :duffer: could be easily sorted for you. Car really needs to get through mot.If can get car done garage said they will squeeze it in sa…

Turn it on and it blows out air that does nto get colder or warmer, is this because it needs regassing? All lights and buttons seem to work on the control and things do change (like how much air etc) but no temperature change
