will be changing my diff oil but which oil do peeps recommend ?? redline 75w90, royalpurple 80w/90 silikolene syn 5 75w/90 is there any benefit in using these more expensive oils or would any normal gear oil be as good ?? also is it 3.1 or 2.1 litre for a j spec tt thanks in advance.

CHi ya, I hope you do not mind me joining the site, I will confess to being an MR2 owner, no not got lost just chasing the above and heard of a trader from this site who might be able to help.....can anyone help me find a solenoid for a Blitz Dual Solenoid Boost Controller, Ive got the control unit but no solenoid and I hear a guy called Johnny from GPS might be able to help ? has anyone got a link or contact for him please ? Has anybody changed the 2 bushes in the rear hubs the one the rear upper arms connects too and the one the small link[traction ] arm connects two .Ive changed all 3 hub bushes on a s13 200sx before 3 because no hicas not too bad to change hole cutter to take centre out then hacksaw to remove the outer steel bush shell then chisel the shell out.But the 200 sx has cast iron hub not alloy like the zed .Ive changed the small link arm bushes sub frame end with powerflex bushes and fitted cusco rear upper arms .thanks taff.

If the exhausts are a litte sootie and there's a slight petrol smell after running hard does this suggest the car is running a little rich? I know it does with a Rotory Engine but not sure with a V6 twin turbo.

looking for a set of rear shocks, one of the ones kev gave me has given way today and leaked its oil out. not his fault seems it was just a bit faulty. i am in desperate need of two rear shocks, springs not needed, if anyone here has any please let me know. im absolutely desperate for these as its mot time on monday and its taken ages to get this booked in. i was having a good day until this happened and now im absolutley gutted .. i dont know what to do now. im tired, stressed pissed off and got far too much on my plate at the moment, kev has promised to help me fit the replacements, so if anyone has a set even new ones for sale please let me know i need them …

Right, I have a SWB manual twin turbo, it currently has a decatted exhaust which it had when it came in from Japan, it's a 3" bore exhaust and both sides meet in a centre box then come out the other side to two exits, now, the box got rattly as the welds must have gone inside, so I today had the box replaced with two seperate pipes to replace the box, So having done this the car lost a lot of compression due to lack of back pressure caused by the both sides of the exhaust not meeting which equalises the pressure, am I on the right tracks? So I went back to the garage who did the work and explained to them what was going on and that the both sides of the exhaust shoul…

seeing edk83's for sale notice, reminded me.....here goes. The rear illuminated panel on my z packed in working, wasn't the inverter so naturally assumed it was the EL panel. Having shopped around etc found it impossible to source from Nissan and manufacturers inform me I need to buy large sheets in large quantities so was about to give up, but I've now found a UK supplier who will supply me what I wanted, ordered it and today I fitted it and it looks brilliant all working again. :dance: I got 2 pieces 1 blue/green......is green though 1 red.......slightly pink when illuminated......but still looks good in the panel, I tried both pieces to see what I pre…

Hi, I found this place through an advert on Pistonheads. I'm looking around for a replacement for my 2 Vento VR6s (don't ask why I had 2!) I've seen adverts for 300ZXs ranging from £1.5 upwards. I'm guessing cars that cheap are going to be sheds! I have just over £3k to spend. Can I hope to find a good one for that or am I wasting my time? If I was to get one I would want a manual and ideally a UK car. All help/advice appreciated! Gav

I would like to change my rear lap belts in my Jap TT to 3 point belts to fit a baby seat - has anyone done this ? Cheers Jeremy

Hi guys, I have a JDM Fairlady TT and for its latest trick :smash: it has decided to start holding in first (while in drive) until you take your foot right off the pedal, then it will drop down. I have cleaned the plug from the TPS as it was green and corroded, this made some but very little difference. The chappy at Z world said something about 0.4V at the wires or something?????? PLEASE ADVISE. :( JASE

Hi All I need your help. I keep loosing the back end of my car when there is the slightest sign on moisture on the road. Yeah I know what you are thinking, ‘drive slower’ or ‘stop putting your foot down too quickly’ but trust me it’s not like that at all. I was warned before buying the car that they aren’t got in the wet, and therefore ‘I’m driving Miss Daisy’ in the rain, but surely there has to be a better tyre I can buy which will help. I currently have Avon in all four corners. Can someone recommend a good tyre – various price ranges would be appreciated. Thanks Spencer

Can anyone tell me if tt front discs are the same as na ? I bought a pair of good used G3 front grooved ( 10 ) discs and tried fitting them but came to the conclusion that tt discs are thicker,,,,,,,,,,, is this so ? If they are the wrong ones , i will put them up for sale in the for sale section :(

Hi , does anyone know what size car cover ( outdoor ) I should buy ? Or is there a reasonably priced supplier that supplies a cover to fit my Z ( with a large rear spoiler ).... ( has anyone got a decent car cover, where did you get it, how much etc.... ) cheers Andy....

As above chaps and chapets :) only need the loan of one as my Zed is in the local garage on Thursday for ripping the entire Hicas system out and the SPL hicas eliminators I sell are just being shipped out now, so iffy if it will be here in time.
