Hey Guys, Have been watching this car on fleabay and wondering - how much worse could the rust be? Keen to hear from someone who has tacked this before - FYI I am happy to have arches, sills welded etc. Thanks guys - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-300zx-Targa-3-0-280-BHP-Manual-Japan-Import-/181816523252?hash=item2a551bf9f4

Just wanted to give a big thank you to rich20, as he's helped me out in a massive way. Thanks solely to him providing me with his registration tax receipt, my appeal has been successful! €630 refund due from the €1,602 original payment :D Wouldn't have had a hope without you mate, needless to say I owe you a pint or ten!

I'm just about to change the rear tyres on my zed. It's the first time in my ownership. I'm wondering if they are the correct size. Reason being is that when i look on tyreleader i only get 3 options :-o I'm used to having loads to pick through. My Wheels are 9j x 17" and currently have 165 40 17 tyres. Does that sound right? Many thanks Lee

I'm going to replace the filter for the line that comes into the cabin for the Greddy boost controller and aftermarket gauge. Would a fuel filter from a motorcycle do the job? Do you have a filter on the line from the balance bar to boost solenoid in the bay as well?

Im making myself a set of custom boost jets to replace the welding nozzle tips that are currently secreted in Zebedee's pipework. Can anyone tell me what size the hole is in the nozzle, I think from memory its 1mm. Eventually i'm going to get rid of the jets all together but for now I want them to install using 2 jubilee clips to make it easier to troubleshoot them in future. Problem at the mo is the OD of the nozzle is about 1mm larger that the ID of the rubber tubing making it a faf to push in so i'm going to reduce the OD of the new jets to make installation a lot easier.

Thanks to Ian Greenfield, I've been involved today in a Facebook "debate" about whether it's worthwhile paying an upholsterer (myself, for example) a large sum of money to make (from scratch) an interior... or whether people should just be using "pre-fab" firms like Interior Innovations, for example, and just having the new trims fitted once they've been delivered. As I stated on FB, a lot of the pre-fab suppliers simply place the customer's order in somewhere like China or Malaysia where a team of eager little folk make the order, then ship it out. In my experience, the fitment isn't always great and the materials aren't great and in somewhere like a car cabin, the …

For the fix in this thread.... http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?158042-Drivers-targa-pipe-fix Is this still one of the best ways to approach this and if so what is the diameter of the metal pipe i'll probably need? Obviously I could measure said pipe when I uncover it but want to get the metal pipe before attempting the fix as it's my daily and hopefully I can do this over a couple of days off. If there are better fixes, feel free to point me in their direction :) Thanks Aaron

  12. I currently have a Q45 maf setup which seems very reliable. But is it restricting possible HP as opposed to having a dual maf setup? Question is, do I need a dual intake setup or is the current good enough for my setup? Q45 intake Single dump valve conversion with balance pipe In between. So got my new battery loom today but the old one has an extra lead coming off it. It seems to goto a connection behind the clutch vacuum piping, my zed is a tt manual but was an auto so is this extra cable for an auto box ? Also the new loom has both positive and negative combined in one but the old is actually two separate cables.

Looks like this guy Steve as put together a great price for a full set of these fuses. £8.35 delivered for both footwell and main box :cool3:. Pictures are from my own car........recommend these highly. http://woodypeck.com/?product=nissan-300zx-replacement-set-of-blade-fuses-smart-led-lights-up-when-it-blows EDIT: 29 fuses in total, amazing deal imo.

  16. As pictured below, leak is Coming from passenger side of the sump. And you can see it running down the side of the sump and dripping onto the ground pretty quickly. Am I right in thinking it's prob from the passenger side turbo oil hoses which I've labeled below with a ? Now, before I get under the car, is this pipe easily accessed under the car? Can I remove it while engine is still in?

  17. .... Adrian Flux? Seems that there's constant bad-press and poor quotations. So just wondering if anyone here actually has insurance with them and if so, how much? I'm not insured with them, but I'm curious to know if anyone actually is?...I am talking about insurance on your Z, not on anything else. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?65748-Insurance-for-Club-members&p=1880017#post1880017

Greethings guys. Today i've had a slipping clutch problem after the turbos spools, but the clutch is semi-new (replaced it on august) and it began to slip only after some normal driving and one little accelleration. Also on 3000rpm and less it worked fine, and i could even do some start in a very high uphill without any problems. This night i took the car another time and it worked fine, even after have stressed it a lot for checking that slip. What happened? It's possible that the clutch overheated for the extreme hot weather ? Today in italy there were like 45°, the whole car interior was untouchable and when i touched the throttle bodies was like tou…

hi guys looking at retiming my interior panels and i'm at a decision point got it to 3 colours cream (which i'm waiting a sample) red or grey, didn't think i'd like the red option but i've found a nice dark red rather than the bright garish ones i've seen before. this is going in a black car.

Was on the way to totb too. So, car was driving fine, no problem at all. All of a sudden, misfiring and loss of power to a stop. As it wouldn't rev very high we though it was the maf, unplugged it and the car seemed to start fine. But very rough and we've limped to somewhere safe. So, when the car starts with the maf unplugged, if we plug it back in, the car dies. Won't start with it plugged in. We tried a known working maf from the other car and still the same, won't start with the maf plugged in. Also struggling to start anyway with I'm thinking could be the engine getting flooded. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks…

Ive just arrived back from what could be a very expensive trip to the pub... Parking in the car park at our local pub for a meal, I tucked the front bumper over a patch of grass in front of the parking space. For some reason there had been some 4" high steel pegs left out of the ground, completely camouflaged, I then reversed out of the space, and there was a huge crunch, and the bumper has been destroyed, fibreglass is not very forgiving. All I had to hand was some sparky tape and a cable tie, so I patched it up so I could drive home slowly. In between all of this, I had to pretend nothing was wrong and smile through a pub dinner with the in-laws. The best…
