Coolant system. I am curious. i am looking at repositioning my overflow bottle and getting a smaller one. Does the bottle need to be vented ? on the existing tank there is a hole just below the screw cap. is this necessary ? most off the over flow tanks i have been looking at do not have a vent hole

Hey, I plan to fit a perspex strip (WO brake light) once my Zed is painted. I was planning to weld up the brake light hole in case for some reason the centre of the perspex strip was ever pushed on, obviously with a gaping hole behind it, I'm guessing it will crack? I've never had, or seen the perspex strip, other than in pics, so not sure how it attaches, or if there is an insert or something, can anyone tell me if welding up the hole is ok? Cheers!

I'm just wondering really, do any of you ever open up the ecu and things to check the solder. Have any of you re-worked the solder or anything? I'm just thinking, would it help in the day to day running of our cars. Do sometimes think, it's better not to fix something that's not broke though lol

Few alignment issues to fix yet, really not convinced on how far back the rear wheel is sitting. Can't sort the camber out properly without causing grief with the bolt that holds the rear bumper on. Thoughts? Also the centre of the cat back is virtually on the floor...some massing required there I think. Seems crazy how little stops the exhaust swinging around, which I can actually feel now because the cars rock hard.

Well, as my previous PTU didn't go wrong and to be honest, they don't fail as much as you'd be led to believe, I'm going back to a series 1 PTU until I order a brand new loom from wiring specialities. The S2 PTU and harness are damn ugly. I had thought about chopping up the sub-harness, but since there are still quite a few people still rocking an S1 PTU, I'm just going to stick mine back on there and have nice tidy wiring for a while! Who else is still using their S1 PTU?

Really starting to bother me, there's this periodic "clicking" noise from the interior fan. It seems to vary in noise, location and frequency based on the setting, but is unrelated to the AC itself. I plan to replace the bulbs in the instrument panel soon so is there anything I should check?

Every now and then on my auto you put it in park and go to remove the key, no matter how much jiggling and poking of the button it won't turn it's last little bit and release the key. Leave the car for a short while and it does it straight away. Any ideas?! It's almost as if something electronic is holding it off but surely it's all mechanical in that area with a park interlock cable? Thanks for any input. :)

While I'm waiting to get the car to Jimmer I'm sorting some issues while I can. The clutch is slipping but I know the clutch is good, think the problem is the rod from the slave cylinder to the fork on the box was missing so I made one up best I could. So if that is too long could that be the cause? If so does anyone know the correct length of it?

Guys recently there was a post about someone who installed new Volvo washer jets. As 1 of mine is blocked and the MOT is looming at the end of the month, its the first small job to be done. Have tried clearing the blockage but with no luck. So if someone could let me know the Volvo model they were from I would be grateful.

Hi everyone. I'm trying to get my 300 back on the road again but it has an intermittent fault with the electrics. Everything has worked fine up until the mot was due and now the complete middle of the car has no power to anything. I'm presuming its a cable or connector problem but I cannot find anything. The controls on the left hand side of the dash have stopped working - so that's the temp / heater controls, fan, wipers and washers but the problem continues down the centre console so includes the clock, cigarette lighter and the mirrors. Has anyone had anything similar or any ideas where to start looking. If anyone has a link to the fuse board translation that…

I sold my black zx twin turbo roughly three years ago and regretted it ever since, had 280Z with a turbo swap in the meantime but there's something about the z32 that attracts me. So about four weeks ago I took a chance, bought a one way ticket to stockholm and picked up a bone stock 91 TT 2+2 with 85000km's on the clock, full history and a bucketload of receipts and stuff. Not mint but with a little tlc it'll get there. First I had to recolor the bolsters on the seat, they where pretty worn and white. Managed to get it black again with swissvax leather color and products. The outside is suffering from a lot of stone chips on the hood and nose panel, the plastic unde…
