A question! First thing I did on my Import was to convert KPH to MPH. Would/does this mess with the A/T regards gear changing at higher engine revs or less smooth changes? Ive always kept mine on the HOLD button because my A/T works really smooth in this mode. Just a thought, but might be a dum Q! Art

I'm busy changing out my fuel pump as it finally died (i think). Anyway, I got one of th AEM ones the noz was selling. I'm just wondering how you actually fit it in situ. So the normal pump has the rubber round it that fits into the brackets. The aftermarket one doesn't. So how do you secure it?

With reference to my last post ( rough idle when cold) I checked the temperature sensor plugs and replaced as they were badly corroded unfortunately that has not sorted the problem. I know my coil pack plugs are in a bad way but I have checked them all and cleaned them and made sure there connections are tight. I still have the problem the car runs fine after about 5 minutes of driving. I have adjusted the TPS to the correct voltage using a guide on here and I have reset the ecu for the adjustment as it states in the guide. This is where it gets odd I started her this morning sounded like she wasnt running on all cylinders so I pulled each coil pack to notice the …

The driver's side under dash vent was missing (not factory installed) on my UK car and I'm pretty sure it is not on imports either (possibly only early 89 cars). The vent installs below the steering wheel on the lower trim and when not present normally has a plastic cover in its place. The part itself is NLA from Nissan (part #68905-51E02) and mine came from a breaker in the States which a fellow Z32 owner sent over to me - thank you. The install just involves cutting the ducting where the raised section is with a sharp knife and fixing a small piece of foam on the back of the panel to provide a seal when the panel is back in place. The vent is adju…

I will be travelling to Beaulieu via the M25 and M3 and could stop at the Cobham services (between J9 and J10 M25) if there are any others who would like to convoy down to the event and plan to go that way round the M25. It's about 1 hour 20 mins (80 miles) from the Cobham services to the Tesco's meeting up point for 8am to 8:30am, so I will be at Cobham at 6:30am for 6:45am departure.

I am having problems with my auto transmission! It is stuck in what I think is 3rd gear and has loads of slip. When you put it into 1st it does appear to be in first but again has slip. Reverse works fine, park and neutral also okay. Oil level looks okay and oil colour doesn't look too bad. Conzult throws loads of errors: TPS signal VHCL SPEED SENSOR - A/T TURBINE SENSOR ENGINE SPEED SIGNAL SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE - B VHCL SPEED SENSOR - MTR When travelling at speed and removing foot from accelerator, engine speed immediately drops to idle (no engine braking - lock-up)? I'm thinking it could be the TCU is screwed but I'm really strugg…

So I had some new michelin pilot super sports fitted at the weekend and I thought I'd have the tracking looked at too, not that I'd had any issues with the steering. They informed me that my tracking was way out and that they'd sort it out for me. Their first attempt had my car steering to the left quite severly, and after their second attempt it isn't much better. I just wanted some opinions on whether the before and after shows any significant changes in toe/camber, etc to warrant the guy telling me that my tracking was 'way out', because from my eyes it doesn't look that different from how it was! But I don't really know anything about tracking! Thanks in ad…

Coolant system. I am curious. i am looking at repositioning my overflow bottle and getting a smaller one. Does the bottle need to be vented ? on the existing tank there is a hole just below the screw cap. is this necessary ? most off the over flow tanks i have been looking at do not have a vent hole

Hey, I plan to fit a perspex strip (WO brake light) once my Zed is painted. I was planning to weld up the brake light hole in case for some reason the centre of the perspex strip was ever pushed on, obviously with a gaping hole behind it, I'm guessing it will crack? I've never had, or seen the perspex strip, other than in pics, so not sure how it attaches, or if there is an insert or something, can anyone tell me if welding up the hole is ok? Cheers!

I'm just wondering really, do any of you ever open up the ecu and things to check the solder. Have any of you re-worked the solder or anything? I'm just thinking, would it help in the day to day running of our cars. Do sometimes think, it's better not to fix something that's not broke though lol
