As some of you already know, one of my new Nismo 555s (front left, cylinder no 2) is pissing fuel all over the engine bay when the fuel pump primes. A couple of questions occur... 1. I estimate that I have driven about 7 miles with the problem. I took it very easy however, as the fuel smell was overpowering. Could I have done any damage to the engine? 2. I am guessing that the problem is a leaky injector O-ring. I assume that it's a plenum off and fuel rail out job to get this sorted. Could it perhaps be a faulty/cracked injector? Any thoughts on this would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance  CheerZ Steve :)

Does it work out cheaper to get one from the states and pay the shipping and tax on it or from a uk dealer. What would be a good price for one first hand for a uk manual turbo?

Anyone have this set up ? What is it like ? I think I'm gonna get a set. I already have adjustable front upper links, do I need anything for the rear for camber correction etc. or anything else ? Do you get new dust covers for the shox ? CheerZ PAul

Trying to find out why braking hard at high speed causes wheel wobble. Clocked all the discs and they are good. 0.2mm was the worst one. But thats not a lot. Checked bushes and didnt find any that are worn. Think I checked them all. Dunno if theres any little ones hiding anywhere. Not really sure what else it could be? Sorted my brake pedal though, found some air hiding in the inner nipple on the front drivers side caliper :nono: Now shes nice and solid!

Do you have to take the disc off to change them, or do they just come straight out?

Head gasket on my zed has gone :( She overheated a few nights ago, but I managed to get her home and she hasnt started since. Was just ticking over and the compression sounded completely off. So I thought, ok maybe its just flooded, disconnected the fuel pump fuse, and she just kept turning over and wouldnt start. Pulled the sparks out, the front two came out ok, bits of the plastic coil had melted. The center two wouldnt come out without a bit of force, and it looks like those coils had comletely melted, didnt bother with the rear two plugs... doom was looming at this point. Took the rad cap off, turned it over and water shot out of the radiator like a fooking …

just a query more than anything. How many uk zed's are there left...Do most of the members on the forum have a jap import? The reason I ask is my own uk zed was literally saved from the scrap heap, with the amount of rust on the car, it should have been scrapped, but thats another story. So another uk zed was saved...

Just got her back on the road after being in bits for 2 months. Had a few days of no problem driving too!!! Got my car out the garage today to do a few little jobs as you do. Anyway, when I went to put it back I noticed a drip of coolant underneath. Started her up and it pis*ed out everywhere. Looks like one of those knuckle pipes has gone. I guess its better going on the driveway than miles away from home!! Doh. :headvswal :headvswal :headvswal

Although they are bigger bore than the stock Z32 MAF I've read conflicting reports that they max out earlier, yet other say they are good for 600hp+ Other option would be to hack the stock MAF into a 3"+ tube so it flows more air at the same voltage. Anyone using either of these on their Z, I'd prefer to go with one of these so I don't have to piss about with dual intake, but obviously if the Q45 maxes out earlier there's no point. Mapping won't be a problem as I'll be going Zemulator. Jay

I have to use my spacesaver to get my car to the garage about an hour away. I am obviously going to take it very easy, not exceeding 50mph etc but i wanted to know what side i should put it on to make the journey as safe as possible. the rears is where the power is through so i guess it would make sense to put it on the front but i am not going to be use much power so it would be better to put it on the back and use the good wheels on the front to improve the turning and braking. The other wheels on there are 18" and the problem is with the rear right suspension (bent not broke) if that makes a difference.

getting ready to fit the upgraded head with upgraded valves and camshafts. heres whats been happening. right here we go! had a busy day the sun shone and i started again, got loads done before i really made a big mistake!. undoing a really stiff bolt , my hand covered in grease slipped off the ratchet and i hit my bad finger into the car with a massive force, then a big crack! seems my joint popped so now its back in the splints again with bruised tandons. as you can see i got a lot done but nothing conclusive. i also got so far and basically chickened out of doing any more a: due to the finger and b: because im a coward. pics follow not…

Still on a search for my 300zx. There is one quite close to me for sale, not been to see it yet its advertised as a Nissan 300zx Fairlady Targa, non turbo manual. it has 62k on the clock they are asking £3995 My question is any idea what sort of power this will be producing, and what sort of 0-60 time? Im not to bothered about it being non turbo as this will be my first RWD car, and i guess i could turbo it in future if i wanted, but its mostly the specs id like to know if anyone has them? Pete
