When you consider the mods that we do to our cars did Nissan even get close to perfecting the Z32? Most of us start with a standard model and then over the years change almost everything that is changable. ECU's, Brakes, Induction, Turbo's, Exhausts, Wheels, Body parts, Seats the lot. I was just sitting here thinking about it and thought I would ask this: What do you think Nissan used that should not be changed unless it brakes on the 300ZX?

Some of you may know I recently sold my much loved twin turbo Strosek zed to Spongey.. A top fella by the way.. Only 2 weeks later I have bought another zed, but this time a N/A SWB Manual.. It was something of an unexpected purchase, but saw it in the 'cars for sale' section on the forum, loved the look, and bought it from XCK1 (Cerina), who is a top girl, and went out of her way to deliver the car to me, for which I am very greatful.. Many thanks Cerina!! & thanks for selling her to me, I know you miss her terribly!! I am enjoying being back in a zed, and enjoying trying a different model/different colour, and being a N/A, I hope to use it as my everyday r…

Hi all, just had the gearbox replaced on the zed due to the old one burning up, have got the new one guaranteed for 12,000 miles.. anyway the car still has some bits and pieces need sorting.. it has an oil leak at the back of the engine, and some waterleak somewhere at the front, also my heater blowes appear not to work.. what does this mean, that someone has bypassed the heater matrix?, also to sort out a leak at the back of the engine i had to remove one of the heating pipes as it was corroded and i made a gasket to block up this leak and seal it, which has knocked out my heating (although blowers do not work anyway), now my dilemma is.. is it going to be a better optio…

 Sounds like water bubbling from a pipe, but all water levels are ok. When i open the drivers door the noise is more apparent as its coming from the air vent...The car is running fine. Any ideas? (TT manual. Uk.)

I moved out to Canada last year and finally I’ll be shipping the Z over this May. The ship lands in Halifax, a massive 3750Km from my home in Winnipeg. I put the Skyline on a train to get it across but I really want to do the drive in the Z. Some of the most scenic roads out there, I’ll be sharing the driving with a friend and hoping to cover the distance in 3-4 days. Reliability has never been a problem with my Z in the 8 years I’ve owned it, so I’m hoping for a trouble free run. Mechanically the car is excellent, I’ve put a huge amount into keeping this Z running like new. I’m a little concerned about electrical gremlins but I’ll be carrying a spare PTU, MA…

Right, I had a headlight bulb go out last week, so I decided to replace them both like you do, I was originally going to order up some H3C's, but decided to do the conversion jobbie with the H3 type as in the picture... I had drilled a small hole in the plate and countersunk it also to ensure a good contact before soldering an earthing wire to it, with a spade connector as the picture shows, I did this with both obviously. Then I fitted the modified bulbs and connected them up to the connector block, earth to earth and live to live. When I tested the lights, all were on, the side lights, dipped and main, but the main was only as bright as the dipped l…

I'm tightening up my split rim alloys where the nuts and bolts go through joining the outer section to the centre section. Can anyone tell me what torque setting I should be using to torque the nuts up so its bloody tight and won't come off again as I havent put any lock tight on either. Don't want to over-tighten them so they strip or damage the alloy in anyway. Hope someone can give a swift reply. Definately going to pay for a membership in a bit, this place is a fountain of knowledge. :mac1: Chris
