Hi after reading lots of threads and guides for installing boost controllers and gauges, they all seem to be for LHD. I know the components are the same but still is confusing. I am keeping the EGR for now but want to delete the Avi,s and PRVR. Getting to the wastgates is a pain I assume it's easier from underneath. So far.

Where do you buy these as 1 of mine is broken sadly. The pipes that run under the car. Not sure if it's worth doing the brake lines at the same time?

Ive had a few things done on the lead up to my MOT (spot of welding, tyres, etc) but yesterday during a fake MOT I have found the N/S rear anti roll bar drop link has snapped between the lower thread and the link (smooth bar section) so I need some links. Also the O/S steering rack gaitor looks like its been mauled by a tiger and is hanging off by a thread. A garage also advised me that the rear discs, pads, shoes and fittings could do with a change although off the record (!) he said they would be find for the MOT! A quick google (ebay actually) has found me this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NISSAN-300-ZX-1984-1990-FRONT-PAIR-STABILISER-ANTI-ROLL-BAR-DROP-LINK-x…

Looking for inspiration on how to cleanly affix a dashcam to a Z32 (so pics please), as the missus got me a cheap one a few weeks back which does the job. It's certainly not the easiest car to get a neat cam setup, with the position of the cigarette lighter and most of the windscreen being out of reach! Currently I just have it mounted below the mirror with the wires dangling. It's one of these.

. How old does your zed have to be to qualify for "classic insurance"? I renewed my multi car policy today with Admiral for my Subaru Impreza and Mazda and asked for a quote for a n/a Fairlady circa 1998 with declared mods of body kit after market alloys, exhaust and an estimated value of £6k, quote was £240 full comp with protected no claims and a compulsory £100 excess. Also adding a further car to policy I would get around £45 off the other two cars, so works out about £200. Would a classic insurer yield any benefits? Thanks.

What clutch would you guys recommend for my zed? It's running 500/550 bhp so needs to be a good one that will last,I have a XTD in my shorty witch is fine, but I wouldn't have one in my road car as it snatches to much.

Has anyone a good diagram of the foot pedal layout on a 93 TT Auto with Cruise, I am converting to manual and need to understand what I have currently as some of the switches were bypassed, My cruise control works correctly, and i have deleted the HiCAS

Right.... this may sound like a daft question but I'll go with it anyway. My Z has a TOAD alarm system which was already fitted when I got it. The problem is, it came with no instructions on how to programme the fobs and it only came with one. I've got a feeling that the battery might be dying in it as it sometimes takes a while to disarm it. My question is... If I take the battery out to change it (I have a new one ready) will it need reprogramming or will it still work? Thanks

. While I will be waiting to see what Garry brings from Japan, this one on Gumtree, West Scotland, perhaps any of the members from north of the border may have some knowledge of this car. Hopefully this will go better than my post yesterday, thanks to all for yesterdays posts.

Right, my alternator belt came off a few weeks ago. Im working from above the engine as at the moment it doesn't start and its quite hard to roll it onto blocks. Ive just managed to loosen the PS belt and walk it off the pulley. Ive slipped the Alternator belt over the fan and PS belt and it fits very easily over the alternator and water pump. I was expecting it to not go over as I haven't loosened anything on the alternator :confused1: Where are the bolts for tightening the alternator?? ill probably find this out in a min after more searching but im just worried that something's broken as its just slipped straight over and its loose. Does that s…

That was a long 3 months, I know it wasn't a proper det it was a quick jolly down to the Falkland Islands, but it was long enough and my second Christmas in a row. I am glad to be back and I have missed habitually checking this forum. I hope everyone is alright, I hope the winter hasn't claimed any more of our zeds. This community is small enough already. I will tell you some Sea King stories some time and there is plenty to update you with on my zed. This year it will take another step towards the car in my head I have been working to realise. Anyway, I look forward to catching up with you guys, it's good to be home :)

Hello! Spoke to to respray shop today and just want to know if what I was told is accurate and reasonable! I have a blue zed. I have an oem 99 spec front bumper in red which needs a respray. The guy said that it would be around 600 to respray the bumper as they wouldn't be able to get get very goo colour match - it will always look darker and stand ou apparently unless they did considerable blending work up through th fenders. Does this so correct? I just wonder as in the past I have been quoted 300 quid for colour matched respray and he didn't mention anything about having to blend or it being a different colour. Also, he suggested th best thing to…

  22. Hi all, as some of u know my car has been in storage for quite a while and I'm putting her back on the road for the summer. While it has been stood the black strip under the rear spoiler (I've seen them in the past say Nissan fairlady on them) has started to peel away. What would you recommend to either stick it back down so it stays put without creases/bubbles or where to go to get a new plain strip that I presume are self adhesive. A link would be very useful if possible Thanks in advance Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  23. Hi all, I'm looking at buying a mines ecu and was wondering if anyone can give me some advice on it? I'm running stock everything except exhaust which is a cat back system, engine appears to be in good health and getting no smoke from exhaust. Just wondering on the set up and how it's going to affect my engine by fitting the uprated ecu? I've no boost controller fitted to the car but i could fit one if needs be but is the boost changeable via the conzult program and would conzult work ok with the uprated ecu? Any info on this mines ecu would be appreciated.. Many thanks in advance..

If anyone is looking for some shagpile mats, there are a front set for sale here https://www.gumtree.com/p/car-tuning-styling/nissan-300zx-foot-mats/1149942351 Might be a bit expensive for just the front two but maybe you could bargain it down a bit as there will be about £13 postage.
