Parked on a sideroad off bayham street was a silver 300zx with series 3 spoiler and 99 spec lights, anyone from here? i work in getty images around the corner

Sad but true. :( I'm in Brisbane for a few weeks, and I went to the Rugby League match last weekend. On the way back, I saw a red zed coming in the opposite direction, with a red nudge bar on the front! It was a simple round-section bar, probably one inch diameter, and bent to come up from under the bumper (which was mashed on the driver's side anyway). Looked a bit like the nudge bar at the bottom of this page http://www.blueys.com.au/acc_bullbars.htm, but more weedy (only one inch diameter) and looked like it had been painted with a brush. Hope someone can help. the power light came on on the auto box then went off again doing about 30mph without foot down far enough to kick in the power mode. However i took it out for a spin tonight and neither the power light or hold light comes on now with the switch, it could be some sort of sensor but wondered if anyone else has had a similar problem. Also when the car is cold and driving up a hill keeping a constant speed the engine seems to be choking until you give it more gas, it does it on the straight as well but more noticeable going up hill. I already cleaned the temp sensor, again wondered if anyone has had this problem. Cheers Graham

Just installed my new lcd touch screen dvd player and it works mint, except for when a disc is playing and the headlights/sidelights are on, as when i begin to drive i get interferance through the speakers as a whistle which is consistant with the engine speed. The interferance goes when the disc stops playing or the headlights are switched off... whats going on and how do i fix this problem??? cheers guys

Just been sent to Germany and I need a set of lefthand drive headlights or moded lights for my 93 non turbo zed. Can anyone point me in the right direction give advice or details of anyone who can help me with this problem. I'm fast running out of time as the germans are being their usual helpful selves and muggin me off. I have only a limited amount of time to get my headlights sorted. Any help would be very appreciated in this matter. :slap:

My Zed failed its MOT on Tuesday with the following; 1 Both front wipers. 2 Front to rear brake pipe (x2). 3 Rear brake pipe (x4). 4 Parking brake efficiency. Got it back today, mechanic who changed the brake pipes was glad to see the back of it. Grand total including cost of MOT was £349.00 incl. Going by what everyone says about the front to rears I was expecting more!

Hi I´ve got a 2 seater coupe with the safetybelts mounted in the doors, I´m not sure if this is normal but i can pull on them, jerk them and even brake hard and the seatbelt still extends with no opposition at all. All the other automatic belts i know would lock under one of the above scenarios.does this on both belts, is this normal ? cheers Maz

After finally putting the engine in, can only get a spark on cylinders 3 and 4, have put new set of plugs in, tried changing coil packs around but still no joy, engine starts fine but very lumpy, fuel is getting in ( as i can smell it) have checked all electrics, which seem fine, have checked wiring loom but no obvious breaks, ecu shows as all is okay. revs to max 2500rpm, but wont go any more, checked all pipes and repaired any that i found shagged. what else can it be, SWZ were helpfull, but ive done what they say, but still nothing, what have i missed as im starting to doubt myself now and getting close to 5 litres of fuel and a box of matches. HELP Stu

Since fitting my new (unwarped) discs on my R33 brembo setup there has been a scraping noise occaisonally coming from the front drivers side so I thought I would take a look. I found the dust plate was scraping so I bent that back a bit. Then I spun the disc and the noise was still there. :confused: I thought this must be a seized piston in the caliper, so I will take it off and inspect. D'oh - I have just bent and crakced one of the brake lines and there is a slow dribble of fluid coming out! It is the little metal peice of tubing right after the braided line stops. :cry: So now my zed is up on a jack and I can't do anything about it. What can…

Hi i read on here the other day about wheels moving forward on somones zed. ( wait for the smart ass comments )lol. What is the cause of this or is it down to the size? Im only asking as i am thinking about getting some aftermarket wheels for mine but dont want that to happen. Also anyone know where is a good place to buy them from with tyres and would i be better keeping wider tyres on the back than the front? Cheers in advance Matt

Do I need to use in my Zed? Also, where do I fill up (a) the engine oil (think I know this one, lol) and (b) the auto gearbox oil?

Has anyone got a boost controller, I have set it up at 1 bar, i have set it a 1 bar from 3000 revs upwards, is that right or should i do a gradual build up to 6500, also what do i set the duty at, i dont understand the duty?

I'm having problems with getting keys cut for my car. the car came with one key which was a copy not a proper 300zx key i wanted to get a spare so i got it copied by the key cutter onto a generic nissan blank. it looks identical to my key that came with the car but doesnt work. having been back to the shop twice they have adjusted the key but it still doesnt work in the doors and works in the ignition but is very stiff next i bought a proper nissan 300zx blank key (black plastic) and have had this cut from my working key (at a different key shop) however this doesnt work in any of the locks either. the lock shop think the 300zx key is thicker than my workin…
