How hard is it to get one? The car has been off the road for 2 years having all the engine n that done/rebuilt. I hope to be running some big power. The Body work is ok, not brill but with subtle mods also stock wheels. I would love to go for a feature now while it's looking like this and then once the kit has been fitted and sprayed and wheels fitted i would like a front cover feature which i'm confident i should be able to get. The kit/Wheels are currently on order and would like to think it would be fitted/sprayed just before the end of the year. So basicly what are my chances getting a feature now with ok bodywork and stock rims and also getting a …

I have just taken out my engine which wouldn't run, found what's caused that - 1 melted piston+3 melted valves= a 2 cylinder V6 I have another engine to go and a choice of 4 turbos, the engine is going as a tempoary fix and I want to put the better tubs I have in with it while I rebuild to other 2 and the engine. How do I tell which ones are ok, I know that there needs to be as little play as possible in the shafts but is there anything else to look for?

I know the is a guide some where but i was thinking about removing all interior trims from the boot and boot lid, carpet, spare wheel, rear seats. and fitting light weight front seats. So pretty much any trim in the rear will be coming out along with seats. Would the rear end be too light for the car and suffer from traction problems? Stripping weight is important but i then don't want the car to suffer from a traction problem, the rear end will be running 295's to help things. and it will be running a fair bit more than stock bhp. I want to fit bucket seats anyway and slam the car so i probably wont be able to get anyway in the back anyway so what's the po…

Just think how much the lights on the EuroStar look like they've been modeled off our Zeds! Wonder if with a bit of fabrication you could fit them to a Z! Gotta be brighter! http://uk.images.search.yahoo.com/search/images/view?back=http%3A%2F%2Fuk.images.search.yahoo.com%2Fsearch%2Fimages%3Fp%3Deurostar%26ei%3DUTF-8%26xargs%3D12KPjg1jlSqYe9mvinN%252DmZDrDaoAtP0cHwsd5sCpN8HKQco2dvVOMLbevwqcM6HLI8Rz%255FSZcOWcZdHoMbImu3MS1vJWie4tdrN3%255FjC2ImhD5yiLdVShbUy6tvcnfcfb2oFFmqQSeI%252E%26pstart%3D5%26fr%3Dyfp-t-501%26b%3D41&w=500&h=375&imgurl=static.flickr.com%2F138%2F376091282_c076ae00a5_m.jpg&rurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.flickr.com%2Fphotos%2Fmarcus_santos%2F37609…

Just driving back from my grandpas and saw from the corner of my eye a red 300zx with really nice alloys at 9.10pm on Abbey Lakes Pub Car Park in Orrell (Wigan). I think it was a fairlady as the fog light was on and it was stuck to the bottom of the bumper. Was it you???

I'm having my car resprayed within the next month - colour change. My preference is to have the front and rear glass removed for a quality job. What have other people done? My windscreen is chipped - so i'll get it replaced under insurance. But, if I have the rear window removed are the (expensive) seals re-usable or will they need replacing?

Had a trawl through old posts, and can't turn up much about running in an engine following rebuild... discussed briefly here: running in but no definitive answers... so: How many revs for how many miles? What oil/ frequency of change? Revving without load good to bed rings? any other useful info?? If we can keep it to proven methods it's be good, and could probably make a good FAQ. Rich

The small fan fitted inside the roof panel I thought was for sensing the cars cockpit temperature and adjusting the heater blower accordingly to maintain a consistant temperature. Is this correct and does it also apply when running your aircon. When I put my aircon into 'auto' mode, it blows a gail all of the time and then freezes your nuts off. Should it be also controlled by this roof fan.

We are often asked why don’t you do an article on Gear Oils? Well, an article would be very complex but here are the answers to a few FAQ’s that we have had over the years. What does API GL mean? API stands for American Petroleum Industry and GL stands for Gear Lubricant, see below for their definitions: API GL-1 Straight mineral oil API GL-2 Mild EP for worm gears API GL-3 Mild EP for spur and spiral bevel gears in axles and transmissions API GL-4 Medium EP, MIL-L-2105 quality, moderate severity hypoid gears, manual transmissions API GL-5 High EP, MIL-L-2105D quality, all hypoid axles, some manual transmissions API GL-6 Extra high EP, now obsole…

I recently changed my oil and have since noticed a Tappet noise. I think I'm going to be opening the old oil debate but I put in 5/50 fully synthetic. I wanted to get 10/50 or 10/60 semi synthetic but these are difficult to get hold of. Do you guys think that the Synthetic stuff is too thin?? evn though it meets the Spec. I never had this noise before changing the Oil so am wondering whether to Swop it for another grade. Your thoughts, Jase
