Im sure you have all seen or heard of these fuel additives that claim to up the octane rating of your fuel...my question is do they actually do anything? They claim to increase bhp, mpg etc. I use v-power in the car and wondered if there would be any benefit if i coupled that with octane booster. Anyone used one of these products before? Thanks. Dan.

Hi there, I've had my car serviced in the past firstly by Ztech, then SWZ and only for oil changes to Nissan, but now that Ztech has changed hands, I'm not sure if they are up and running properly as yet, and SWZ website is no longer up and running, well it wasn't yesterday, but where else can I get my Z serviced as dont want to take to Nissan? I am in the Reading area so south east as such but dont mind travelling abit though if service is good. Cheers

Something i will be deffinatly be doing on the next zed, getting rid of that horrid stone guard. But, what is the bloody stuff made from? can it just be sanded off/rubbed back so that a fresh smooth paint can go over the top, or is there more to it? How much should i expect to have it done? I know MrFungal himself has had it done, but did they tell you how they did it Si? Cheers in advance Nick

Ever since I first got the Slicktop it has lived in one of the Workshops at SWZ Performance. Paul@SWZ kindly allowed me to work on her there with access to all the power tools, ramps.......and advice I needed. Yesterday I decided to bring her home for the first time. Still has work outstanding before its on the road but this way I get to tinker away in my garage without having to travel up to SWZ each time. Decided to give her a quick wash, 9 months of Dust and grime was not pretty. I've lived in my current house for about 7 months now, and In all this time I've only ever said hello in passing to the neighbours in our street....But within 10mins of Pulling the …

This seems a fairly common upgrade on s13/s14 now and they are getting cheap £150 for calipers and discs .They are bigger nissan alloy calipers than the zed and bigger discs nearly 300mm staight bolt on fittment.and they take a standard s14/300zx pad as well.

I've got a wide arse on order and it's not turned up yet but even if it turned up tomorrow i don't have that sort of money to fit it. So thinking about at the end of the month when i go snowboarding for the week putting my Zed in the bodyshop for a tidy up, what i mean by that is respray front wings and mesh them as they are the viper ones and have gone bubbly, also maybe spray the bonnet. Spray and fit my new front bumper to get away from a stock front end and also remove my rear wiper and fit my skyline spoiler. I've had all the anti stone chip on the sides removed and smoothed some time ago. Also might tint the windows. Keeping in mind it's black is there any…

Hi gang. A quick ride height question for you. I have noticed the near side rear is sitting higher than the off side and I've just taken some quick measurements on fairly level ground from the ground to the wheel arch :- NSF 65cm NSR 67cm OSF 66cm OSR 65cm As you can see there is a difference of 2cm on the rear and 1cm on the front. I have Stock UK wheels all round (225/50 front and 245/45 rear) and the car is sitting on Eibach springs and Koni adjustable shocks. My question is why would the rear have a difference of 2cm either side ? Could something be broken or bent ? Suggestions please. CheerZ Paul

Hi Lee, I replied to your post on my thread about needing a Volks centre cap: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=106047&page=2 but you may have missed it. I can't PM but if you can mail me at friday76@lycos.com we can sort things out if it's still ok. Failing that, if you post up an email address I send my address over to you straight away :) Cheers, Leigh

Over the last few weeks I've been incredibly busy, not only with customers cars but also sorting out the finer details for ZXtreme's new premisses. I'm pleased to now announce that all the paperwork is now sorted, payments cleared and ZXtreme will, as of 1st March, have a dedicated unit near Rotherham, South Yorks. If you want more details, get in touch :D Cheers, Andy

Righty-ho, not sure if anyone remembers/cares, but a few years ago when I had my old Rays/Volk wheels, one centre cap was missing. Managed to find one on the Japanese yahoo auctions and got a Japanese chap in the US who runs wheelchoice.com to bid and send it over to me. Well, I've asked for his help again in getting hold of the double DIN centre console for the Z32 meaning I can fit a true twin-DIN headunit. Fingers crossed this will work. Z32-Zone don't ship internationally, but wheelchoice send things internally in Japan before shipping them overseas. Unfortunately, the part is £120!! But I think it adds a nice finishing touch to the interior. Updating it wit…

Peeps, Im looking at a zed this weekend, which for the age of the car would normally have the series 2 climate control. I have noticed that it has manual "climate control" with sliders and knobs for changing the fan speed and temperature. Is is possible to convert it from the manual setup to the full digital climate control??? If it is, how much work is it, and what needs to be changed, i.e is it just the control pod on the dash, or is there other bits that would need to be changed? Cheers Nick
