Hi guys, just a quick question. I think I have 2 warped disks on the front of my zed, and was wondering 1) where you would go to get replacements and 2) how easy they are to fit. I'm not scared of a spanner, but have heard stories of people screwing it up on other models... In case it matters, i'm in a J-spec '92 manual TT Thanks for any help..

Hey people, Following on from my MOT advisory a while ago here :- http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=100200 I "think" these are the parts they mention in 001 :- http://www.courtesyparts.com/betasite/54618m-rod-assy-connectingstabilizer-300zx-z32-1990-1996-p-40768.html They have "ball joints" in them as they mention in the advisory so I'm assuming this is they. Are uprated parts available anywhere or would OEM from MJP do the trick ? CheerZ Paul

Bought 3 odd alloys in pretty bad shape now managed to get a forth brand new one, so its time to refurb. I need advise on polishing the lip/dish, i am planning on painting the spokes gold and i think they will look good with a polished lip, so my question is how do i get pic 2 to look like pic 3 (pic 1 is to show how they were). I have a dremel (well a copy) but have no idea how to use it and what heads i need etc.... If i can't do it i'll resort to plan B and that is to paint the dishes a brilliant silver. Any suggestions most welcome. ;) PIC 1 - How the alloys were. PIC 2 - Rubbed down. PIC 3 - New alloy i have bought.

Hi, I'm currently looking at a jap spec 1996 Z and was wondering if anyone knows how i find out if it has OBD-II installed. The reason i'm asking is i'm planning on putting a car-pc in it and the software has a feature where you can read OBD-II information. Thought it might be nice.... Cheers Dave

Hi all, just wanted some advice on my V5. I bought the car on Christmas eve (2007) but it did not have the V5 as the guy was going to use the car for drifting so he never applied for it. I applied for the V5 and it arrived this morning but it doesn't have a model/Type on it just make Nissan, it also says 4 door saloon and 2000cc. When i filled in the request form i stated it was a 300ZX TT, Cylinder Capacity 2960. The reg number and the vin numbers all match as well as the colour so does anyone have any idea's why it just says Nissan, 4 door saloon, 2000cc? Is this just a mistake by the DVLA?

I OWN A ZED AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I bought Col_Almera's zed on Saturday, and by the time i got home (i had come straight of a night duty to go see the car) i was so tired, the excitment level was pretty low. Since then, and alot of sleep, ive just remembered how awesome these cars are! It needs a fair bit of work doing, all of which cosmetic, the whole of the car is covered in swirl marks (looks like someone has cleaned it with a brilo pad!), the wheels need a dam good polish and there is the beginings of a hole is the drivers bolster which i want to get repaired. But as a whole im very happy with this one, and its mechanically sound. …

hi, im sure this question has been asked and answered a million times but i cant find it anywhere lol. my n/a is in the garage stripped down to the block due to no. 5 big end knackered, Im wondering if to send it in for regrind and sizing or to buy another engine and drop it straight in, by the time all new parts and gaskets have been bought i dont think the price difference will be that much. My question is can i buy a twin turbo engine and drop it in the n/a changing the manifolds as nessercery or is there too much of a difference between the two. there are a lot more twins around than n/a. cant seem to find one at a decent price lol. many thankx for any help, …

Hi all, MOT due v soon, and I've no rear foglights. I did have the inner rear brake lights wired in as fogs, but undid that as I liked the four brake lights. My plan has been to fit some red bulbs into the reversing light area, keeping the reversing lights as well. Now I've run out of time nearly I've realised that there isn't a huge amount of room. Another idea I had was maybe mounting lots of red LEDs into the reversing light reflectors. Wonder if sharing a reversing light and fog light will fail the MOT though? I'll probably end up wiring in the original mod to get me through, but if anyone has seen a good way of modding the reversing lights into fo…

After a couple of days the old auto box is off  Turned out to be a right pig and also turns out you can't get it off without removing the cats!!!! We were reluctant to touch the cat's but after 15 years the rusty studs came right out and none snapped!!! BIG THANKS TO Madmarco for driving all the way from Winchester to help out, however he spent the whole saturday under the car doing all the work  and it was very much appreciated!! Also to CBR337 (Chris) for coming over yesterday and helping my mate James to get the bloody box off the car!! Great to meet Sussex Stu too, thanks for making the effort and coming over  …
