Whilst my car is in bits i decided to clean up my electrical connectors. When i went to do the MAF i noticed that the pipe out of the top of my BOV's had been linked together and the attchec to the connection on the drivers side, leaving the one on the passengerside not connected to anything. Would this have caused any problems? Have ive connected to back normally now, but cant see why this would have been done in the first place.

Due to my continual electrical problem http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=111034 i have been advised that i need to test all the fuses as although they look ok there could be a hair line crack in one them that i wouldn;t be able to see. So, if anyone has got one and coming to Z008, any chance you could bring it along and i could borrow for a few mins while we're there?....... Cheerz James

Went to view the car and has been hit quite badly and had extensive repairs done including slam panel wings and possibly front leg ! there is a dent in the sill that isnt mentioned aswell as a dent in the bonnet and rust where the boot fits ! the car looks quite nice until you really look at it Paul

As my ignition was smashed to pieces when my car was broken into, I was given another ignition barrell that was attached to a steering rack by SWZ. Now, would it be more advisable to get the ignition off one steering rack and put onto the one in my car, or to swap out the existing rack for the replacement one? I know getting the old one off is a tad tricky due to the sheer bolts, but what are the things to watch out for when swapping racks. Hicas adjustment etc.

  10. Did a quick search to see what sort of numbers. I'm not clued up on this stuff and maybe this isn't a main event, let alone 'the' main event that the NSX'ers make it to be. in case you're interested at least 45 of the UK's guesstimated 400 NSX's will be there. they made press around the world last year when they were around 40 as the largest gathering of NSX's on record ( in europe, as least ) Has this club ever attempted the beauty of the "unfathamable" numbers you could put together? Considering the literal thousands that must be knocking about or have i just missed the thread ?

Hi all, gather this is a contentious issue, given some problems with MJP auto's' supplier... but does anyone know of anywhere that does arch & sill repair kits??? Really want to tidy up the arches & sills on my Z, but nowhere except nissan (complete rear panel) appears to do any!!! Is this the case & will I need to go the expensive route of having some made up? Or just the massively expensive route of complete replacement rear panels and the accompanying extra bodyshop costs?

  14. Does this mean one of the turbos is bust? smoke pours out the engine and the exhaust when it is runnning, had a look and theres loads of oil burning in the pipes, so there is definatley a leak! but could it be a burst turbo? also is there an easier way to get the turbos off without stripping out the entire engine?

Is it normal for the z which has been de-catted to smell very slightly rich and have a very very little amount of black soot visible on the bumper, the rear box's are nearly flush with the rear bumper mind you.

Bought an Illuminated full 180mph set of clock went and fitted them, when it came to plugging in the 3 connection on the back of the clocks I noticed a difference in the positioning of the connectors and labelling of connection of the circuit sheet were all different also. so have had to put the TT ones back in that were there. Bought unit (180mpg NA) ones in vehicle atm (120mph) picture to illustrate. Blue = 180mph clocks (ones i want in). green = current 120 mph TT clocks. is there adaptors I can get or do I have no hope in hell of getting NA clocks over 120mph for this Jap spec NA model (91). Cheers.

Just a quick note to say there are still two slots to be filled in this months Car Of The Month competition. This month is for Wide Arch Zeds, so please have a search through the rides section (there is a search facility to find the wide arch zeds) and find a nice Wide Arch Zed and nominate them in the following thread - http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=111036 You don't have to know the person, just the car :D Just PM them to ask their permission. Also please note the Competition Section is for Subscribed Members only :)

Still having problems with the engine electrics on my car. Have gotten hold of another PTU but daren't put it on yet until I get the wiring/ECU sorted and I'm waiting for payday to buy a new engine bay wiring loom as I've heard that even if you don't have problems - it's good to replace the wiring looms on the tt's once in a while and mine has definately been tampered with. I am now wondering whether or not I need to source another ECU though because there is only 5.1V going to the input side of the PTU now. I've check the pins of the ECU to see that it's not a wiring issue and it's 5.1V at the ECU too. What I'm wondering now is, is there something that triggers the 12V f…

Why is it that the Z's seem to know when there is a show or a meet coming up. If you look at the forum there seem to be several going wrong at the moment the very week before Z008. We are all rushing round trying to get parts to fix them or having dents repaired etc. Perhaps we should keep the meets secret from the cars  Darrell
