Hi, Does anyone have any idea what can be used to put a skim over my Stillen front bumper? The problem is for some reason the top part (that runs under the headlights and nose panel) has gone wavey/warped :( Cheers Vijay

I'm thinking of selling the Zed to finance a new project car. It's a 95 TT Auto - standard except for: Apexi SS Exhause Apexi Induction Kit HKS Oil Cooler Sparco Hose Tien Super Street Suspension Tien EDFC Aftermarket Alloys - Granz Impul and a full respray in a pearlesant two tone, blue/green flip colour. The car has 88Km on the clock 3.5K of which is in miles...so aprox 56K miles in total. From checking Auto Trader, Ebay, and Japanese importers I hae an idea what the standard car would be worth... I wouldn't be prepared to give it away and need enough to finance an RX-7 Twin Turbo... Any ideas what I should advertise it at? r…

Andyduff any ideas?-------------- Zed starts fine ,no problem ticks over fine although does hunt slightly ,no problem otherwise, drive to lights about 500yds ,stop---tickover lumpy like a plug is misfiring or something---drive on no problem---- 11 miles, stop everything fine still hunts slightly but not lumpy. It would appear that once the engine has warmed up the problem lumpy thing goes away. The misfiring thing only happens when the car has been parked outside in the evenings NOT after the car has been in the garage.Have checked the usual things ,plug top wiring connections etc all SEEM ok.Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Chaz :headvswal

Hello all been having this problem with the zeds idle, on tick over the revs are up and down like a lumpy cam nearly stalling doesent jump up past 1000rpm. But when you stick it in drive I accelerate normally and the engine holds back so give it more gas but still the same? then the turbos start doing all the work, It gets worse if engines cold then its a nightmare! smells of fuel too! I know the yellow connector on the metal water pipe, the wires are a blueish colour so need to chop them and rewire, could this be the main problem for idle? or maybe MAF sensor?? cheers in advance!

Went to Pelham Place boot sale at M20/M25 junction round about. A Dark grey Z parked one car over next to me in the ar park. Sitting in the car with my door open, distracted for a moment and the driver of the grey Z got in to their car and drove off. Only ever see 3 Z's most disappointed he never spoke to me.

I've been looking at this :- http://www.ttzd.com/tech/pcvtech.html and I still don't know what the actual valve is  My PCV's and hoses were replaced around a year or so ago (can't remember exaclty when LOL it may well have been longer than that :nelson:) cheerZ Duffer's . The reason I ask is I'm getting some smoke on idle after a run and it's been getting gradually worse and was wondering if the new valves/hoses have become blocked and could be cleaned ? I'm hoping it's not my turbo seals  :x: CheerZ Paul

I appear to have no spark at the plugs :( I've changed my battery today, due to the old one only holding a short charge.. Fitted new dash cluster, DVD player, and seperate screen a couple of days ago, but had the car running since then. The last time the car ran (couple of evenings ago) it felt lumpy on tick-over as if it wasn't firing on all cylinders, but revved ok. I have taken a coilpack off today to check for a spark, and nothing :( The plug was very dirty (considering it's only done 700 miles running-in) and the plug was bone dry...But it turns over perfectly. I have checked all the fuses in the engine bay, and drivers footwell & plenty of fuel in…

I've had a water leak at the front of the engine for a dew weeks which has now got to the point where it needs sorting. I think that it is the water pump gasket/seal as you can see from the picture below how far I've got and there is still a drip from the bottom of the engine which gets quicker when I turn the end of the pump. My question is this, is this a job that should be left to a pro or can i do it on my drive? What tools and how much longer will it take to be at the point where the water pump is off? I don't think the pump itself is knackered as it's only about 3 years old but then any part can fail at any age!!!!!!

  23. Hi All, As the subject says, I've been a bit of a dunce and forgotten which pipes connect up where. To be specific, there are two narrow metal pipes running in parallel on the driver's side of the engine, just below the plenum and behind the bracket that holds the VVC solenoid connector and the boost solenoid connector. It looks to me as though the front of one of these pipes connects just under the throttle body on the driver's side and the other connects to a nipple on the top of the big plastic intake pipe on the driver's side. 1. Have I got the connections correct so far? 2. What connects to the other end of the metal tubes?! I've junked a few bi…
