I have only tried the drivers side so far but I have managed to get all of the nuts/bolts off besides one (Front lower nut (14mm)) which has rounded off, I have been using plusgas and a breaker bar but now my sockets are just spinning round on it :headvswal I'm going to try with heat tomorrow, but does anyone else have any other ideas?

If you'll excuse my ignorance, here - I don't know cars (don't even drive, sadly...). I'm trying to do a favour for my old man who wants a valuation on his ZX300. I figured you chaps would be well-placed to maybe help and give us an idea? It'd be much appreciated. I'd have to speak to him for more details, if this isn't enough... Here's what I currently know... It's a 1992, 2 seater, 3 litre ZX300 in silver with a straight V6 engine. It was imported to Ireland in 1998 from Japan (of all places!). It's in very good condition and has had some modifications (not sure what, though...). Anything would be a bonus. Cheers, look forward to your replies...! …

is it possible to remove the heads with engine in the car?so far I have spent hours just getting all the hoses off but can't see how to get to the exhaust manifold or turbo flange, will the engine come out with the a/t attached without a pit? or is it easier to split the engine from the box?.I will be grateful for any help.

Went out for a curry wed night and had been looking forward to it for weeks. Made sure nothing would mess up the night and everything was set. Went to start the Z at about 7.30 to leave and the starter motor grinds and drops onto the floor! F&%K ! Ended up getting mate to pick me up! Bolted starter back on the following morning and all is well, saved me some fuel I guess lol.

hi eric long time since i mailed you, its me the AEM PEST again, now the zeds back on the road meanwhile am building my spare engine, just ordered the mike smith manifolds yesterday, any to cut the crap, have you got a cal file for a dynoed zed running 555cc inj with stock tubs boosting about 16 psi ideally or a map near that so i can look at the fuel map and ign timing maps and other parameters to compare to mine, or do you have a list off the correct settings/parameters for the zed that replicate as good a driveability as the stock ecu cheers :x: rich

Hello all, I am going to be doing a lot of work on the Zed over the next few months now that I can get her off the road (I now have an LPG Astra aswell), I will be putting her in a garage for the next few months. I want to do some stuff to make her run like new like replacing boost hoses and rad pipes but what else should I be doing. The rest of the hoses are quite solid should I look at replacing all of them? What else should I be doing at this stage in her life? She is a 1991, Twin Turbo, Manual, UK Spec. No engine enhancements and stock exhaust, gearbox and everything else. I am not sure how much money I will have but what I do have is time a…

My zorsts are black as fook and I aint cleaned them since I've had them (as some may have noticed in some of my pictures) :nelson: They are 4x6 oval stainless steel. I was wondering what other people use to clean theirs. I'm gonna clean the oval tips and some of the rear silencer and was also wondering if others clean the inside of the tail pipes and what do you use ? CheerZ Paul.

Theres lots of setup info for the greddy boost controllers but not much for the blitz. I have an SBC-I Colour boost controller and starting to ask around about settings and getting conflicting opinions. It has 4 pre-sets and an off and i'm just using one of the settings. I'm boosting a steady 0.86 bar with my SET at 47 and GAIN at 25. Is this incorrect GAIN? The way i understood it was you set the SET at increments of 10 until you reach the desired boost and then set the GAIN at increments of 5 untill you start getting spikes, then fine tune them both so its smooth? see here http://www.splparts.com/doc/SBC-iD.htm Silver Bullet pm'd me his settings ye…
