Well Jeff lent me some alloys whilst mine were being refurbed..... got them back and gave him back his. Yesterday had to do a trip Aylesbury to Swansea and back. Got just past Bridgewater on the way down a had a blowout doing about 95 - 100.... Completely wrecked the wheel. Had to put the pram wheel on (Thanks RAC man) and had to stay at 50 mph the rest of the way down. Phoned up Zedworld and asked if they still had the spare alloys. Yes they said, we can courier them to your work for you. So drove all the way back at 50 like a rolling hazard on the M4 and made it back. Into work this morning and at midday two alloys turn up for me Thanks again Zedworl…

If you need to i can take a pic of the back of the clocks so you can show me on there. Cheers

This may be a silly question. Took my SWB Z to a garage for new bridgestones all round. After taking all the wheels off they told me that one of the rods was bent underneath the car throwing out my tracking but not to worry since they had straightened it. new wheels back on - only issue was they could not fit the (cosmetic) centre cap on the rear wheel of my super advans for some reason. Anyway I drove off - no problems till hitting 60 mph when i am now getting juddering through the steering wheel. The car is sitting out on the drive - Im obviuously keen to take it back but am nervous about driving it there - what the f*ck have they done> any ideas c…

[/b] Maybe ! On engine start (car will rise to set height) ? On engine shut down (lower to set height) and have a manual overide set up inside the car ? For Ex: when approaching a shitty driveway or speedhump , you can lift the car at front or rear to gain entry to driveway etc ! I dont mean air bags (for slamming it to ground) more so air-struts ??? I found this set-up supposedly for a Z ! [/img]

Hi all, put my box back on yesterday, all seemed to be ok, went on relatively easy. Come to fit starter motor, clutch slave cylinder etc today and noticed that the clutch operating arm (not sure what the technical term is) was at a bit of an odd angle - it appears slightly twisted. Not sure how this can happen if the shafts are all lined up correctly and the gearbox is straight (I'm pretty sure it is). There is no play at all in the clutch arm when the box is tightened up - is this correct? Advice appreciated. This is doing my nut in!! Cheers RobH

I've been a member and trading on the forum for 10 years now. My traders status appears to have been taken away with no warning, for no apparent reason. Maybe to do with fees, but not to worry. Thank-you to anyone that has purchased parts from me over the years. I owe a lot to the forum for helping me start my car parts business. I will continue to sell parts for the 300ZX, but not on this forum. The nature of the business (and this forum) has unfortunately changed over the years (I'm sure this post will be sensored very quickly), but I have nothing bad to say about its members. You will always see me on ebay (Andy300z) if you need anything. Its sad to say go…

ok been out in the pouring rain checking connectors etc, ran a diagnostic on the box and came up with: 3 - Throttle Sensor Circuit is Short Circuited or Disconnected. 4 - Shift Solenoid A is Short Circuited or Disconnected. 6 - Overrun Clutch Solenoid is Short Circuited or Disconnected. 7 - Lock up solenoid is Short Circuited or Disconnected. 10 - line pressure solenoid is Short Circuited or Disconnected. this mean box is screwed ?

Hi all, My Z failed its MOT last week on excessive play in the N/S HICAS ball joint. I was not happy with the decision as I had that one replaced last year following an "advisory" They also gave me an advisory on the O/S one. Anyway, I took the car to another testing station and they reckon it is the inner joint this time - the one that goes into the rack. I have bought replacement parts from MJP and left the car at the (second) garage to get it fixed but unfortunately they could not do it. They could not get the ball joint end out of the rack; not wanting to force it or do damage they were honest and admitted defeat after a couple of hours. Incidentally …

I have never been a fan of these things TBH. I much prefer the idea of the slick top and as a result have been wondering if these can be replaced with painted sheet metal or even carbon fibre? Has anyone ever converted the lids for a more permanent item or... can they be painted? I would imagine paint would have a job sticking to glass.
