So, I bought some replacement antera 309'd and found I balls'd up xos I didn't check the offsets... They were stated in the advert so completely my fault. So, the front have an offset of 50... FFS!!! off a Honda S2000. Anyway, tried to fit and of course, won't go over the brakes. I have 20mm hubcentric spacers so tried with them but still won't fit due to the wheel bolts hitting the mounting plates. Any ideas? I'm thinking, could a shop drill where the bolts are touching or just get some normal spacers 5 or 10 mm) and use them too?

Ok so my new n/a has a strange steering issue which myself & 1 of the previous owners can't seem to get to the bottom of. When turning steering wheel (left or right) to lock it goes from a feeling of resistance to none at all at about half at turn & then back again?..... on, off,on,off & back again.... I thought it was something to do with the PAS but no, now up on axle stands with the wheels off its exactly the same. 1 of the previous owners changed the rack twice, still not resolved?.... It feels like something is out of shape or bent. Could it be the coloum itself, it does have a solid steering coloum spacer?... Bent arms? I'm at a loss, any …

Can anyone confirm the way that free conzult displays O2 sensor readings? I've downloaded the free version and I'm not sure my o2's are working properly, but the display only gives one reading (Image below as an example, not my actual car) Is this a combined voltage between the two? averaged? does the free version only read one sensor???? Does anyone know for sure what this bar actually displays?

So, Ive always liked this and thought about getting it, but does anyonre know how its fixed in place - does it mean drilling holes in the tailgate? http://www.zcentre.co.uk/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.pbv.tpl&product_id=479&category_id=87&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=7&redirected=1&Itemid=7 My other concern was that I don't have a spoiler, I removed it for a smooth look, so if I did fit this, would it look out of place not having a regular spoiler? Cheers

I'm looking to fit a new clutch in my rebuild, what are your recommendations for a TT with basic mods (chip, boost controller and filter and exhaust/decatt)?

Evening all, Just got back from a viewing of a second Zed. A 1993 slicktop Auto TT. One owner since import in 99, and covered less than 15k miles since! Bodywork seems pretty good apart from some ageing paint, wth minimal corrosion. Kept 100% stock! 93 on the clock. It has a slight misfire or is just running rich, and failed the mot on smoke due to apparently the head gaskets, but yet to prove that. Took a gamble on it but going to ship it home this weekend. I have a mechanic friend willing to do the investigation and heads potentially. £1000 + 1-200 in shipping, so hoping worst case I will make my money back if it turns out to be more wor…

I have just got hold of a set of front 350z Brembo calipers and 345mm discs. I know I need adaptors- can anyone point me at someone who sells them? Also, I want to get the calipers refurbed and repainted a nicer Brembo colour than orange- can anyone recommend a refurbisher? If they just strip and reseal, that's fine as I can get them painted. Finally, anyone know of a source of the Brembo transfers on them? Many thanks for any pointers, advice etc- I'm just looking forward to stopping a lot quicker! Regards to all Dave

Hi all. I have have a Vac leak for awhile and have not been able to pin point it. I have replaced lots of vac pipes and deleted stuff. I can hear a hiss from behind engine bay near the idle control valve. My main question is what would happen if I can this off at the balance bar and start the engine? Looking at eliminating these set of pipes this way. Cheers

Had a nice drive down to Lee dents on Friday to talk about my zed and what needs doing, loving my Mercedes at the moment, what a car on the A roads....definitely a drivers car:) power delivery is second to none, over taking is a breeze, just power out of the bends and your gone, took Lee for a drive....I think he was suitably impressed with over 500bhp on tap;),it was damp roads aswell so very spectacular driving some times lol,on the way home I thought it would be best to program my speed limit indicator,as speeds can get silly when you plant your right foot and your not aware of your speedo:wacko:....but got the zed sorted as what needs doing,so thanks lee....i will collec…

Afternoon got a set of wheel for my Zed that had apparently come off another Zed but the wheels don't fit with spigot ring on the won't fit at all and with spigot ring off the flop around. And idea what size ring I need to get ????

  19. This below is a picture of my Bose rear speaker covers, not sure if it's specific to the Bose ones but the part number is 28190-30P00 and they're discontinued. I have put the new fabric on top to show how faded mine were. Now i'm going to keep the fabric i am using a secret for now but below you can see the darker area that was protected from the elements by the Bose 'badge' on the original 20 odd year old covers. The badge is held on with these, i thought they may be difficult to remove but it was easy, it's a combination of teasing up the retainer ring and pushing down on the proud prong, then put somewhere safe as they're tiny.

Anyone know of a reputable supplier of parts for the manual transmissions? bearing and seal kits seem readily available but what about synchro and synchro hubs and gears etc. I have a spare TT gearbox I would like to strip and recondition to put on the shelf for a later date.....

Can somebody quickly tell my what I need to shave off the na box to fit a TT flywheel, and how thick the offset of the starter motor. Ie how many washers etc. Am fitting it today so will need to know asap

  24. Started by t.mogsy,

Spent the afternoon at Lee Dents today with my new slicktop. My plan was to just get it running & keep it na for now. But after thinking about it most of the day I like the idea of a big build, convert it to a TT, get it resprayed White/black/yellow? make it really special. To do this I'd have to sell my LWB TT which I really don't want to do as I've put so much into it but the idea of a new build is quite exciting. So how do I price the LWB? Prices seem to be all over the place at the moment as has been discussed quite a bit recently. Bit of info on the car, it's a 1990 TT manual, stock engine, recent respray, one piece prop, competition clutch, xtd lightweight flywh…
