300zx Vacuum

Hi all.

 

I have have a Vac leak for awhile and have not been able to pin point it. I have replaced lots of vac pipes and deleted stuff. I can hear a hiss from behind engine bay near the idle control valve. My main question is what would happen if I can this off at the balance bar and start the engine? Looking at eliminating these set of pipes this way. Cheers
