Newbies - let yourselves be known

Well I've been watching these pages for quite a while now, trying to learn as much before leaving the BM world and getting my first Z. I'm now in a position where I'm looking to buy, got the cash in hand and its that ever tedious moment while you wait for just the right car to come up. This all in mind I thought it would be an appropriate time to say hi and since I've a car has finally caught my eye possible ask for a little help. Picked her up today . Black auto tt . Was originally wanting the leather and manual however for the price and condition I compromised . I Can always get a manual conversion in the future . As for the leather its nice to sit on some nice comfy seats for a change . 60000 ish recorded km and she shows it . Had a good read around the forum buying guide posts and she appears to tick all the good boxes . Even managed to speak to the last but one owner who seem very genuine and passionate about her backing up the condition . First time I have driven a Z and I am blown away . Hi everyone I just bought my 1st ZX today!! but i am a real rookie and don't know if I should have bought it or not?? Its a 1991 J reg uk manual twin turbo targa, with leather interior all in all its in good condition, its had a respray at one point in its life, looks like it has had some welding done, is that normal?? Hi everyone, just like to introduce myself, i'm Brian, i owned a 300zx about 4 years ago, sold it on and wished i never had(the wife wont let me forget either, as she loved it to), so i've bought another one today, just got it home and it was the best drive i've had in 4 years, well pleased with it. I'll post up some pictures soon. New cars a dark green, never seen the colour before, nice though.

Hi guys its been nearly 2 years off the road and after ploughing £4000 into her Including coulour change Next week my z is alive again, and must admit forgot how good these cars really are. will post pics up when finished in couple of weeks. It was red but going white with black detailing. its on you tube type in 300zx top speed actually i think i put it on here a couple of years ago search for (brize norton). Hope you like. Just purchased 18" rota gtrs they look soooo good.

Hi Guys Well I finally did it. She has been garaged up for 6 years, but she is back. Some Optimax and a wash and you would never know. Sitting in the cockpit brought back some fond memories! She is running a little bit lumpy at the mo but looking forward to getting her back in tip top shape. So who is still about? The BIG mac, Munster, Paul C, Mike "The Sheep", SMW, Shrimpy? I joined the site before I was an owner, but am very proud to say that I have finally purchased my gorgeous NA auto. I know its an auto, but having dodgy knees left me with no choice!! It has a few niggles but am looking forward to tackling them all in due course. She sits proudly outside my house finished in pearlescent white, and makes me smile from ear to ear. Long may this continue!

Well i would first like to say hello to everybody i have recently purchased a z32 twin turbo manual and have had it less than a week and today got caught speeding!!!!!!!! :oops: oh has anyone every had exceding 70mph on there ticket before? i thought they had to put your speed down? also he had me as i came onto the motor way and i pulled over as soon as i see him so he didnt have time to follow me and do the whole follow me for a mile thing and record my speed? be nice if i could get away with it!!!!!!!!!

Good Morning All Having owned a few classics in my time i've now decided it's time to acquire a 300ZX. It's bonus time at work as have got a couple of grand (which could be stretched a little) burning a hole in my bank account and need to find a nice TT, not fussed whether SWB or LWB and would prefer a manual one Have had a read through the buyers guides and am still not put off although I think that's more to do with my thinking being done by my 'petrolhead' rather than my sensible head. Any hints, tips, advice, cars that may be coming up for sale? Is it best to buy an unmolested original one or one that's had a few sensible mods already completed? …

Hello everyone ive spent soooooo much money on my 1991 non turbo its a real beaut but the gearbox has gone an id like to purchase a good working order one. problem is it drives in 1 and 2 but when i put it into D it just revs, the dip stick is brown and smells burnt??:

Well I just got home to Swindon after a round trip to Essex to buy my 1st Zed. Even the driving rain didnt wipe the smile of my face! Wanted one since a gunmetal grey over took my mate way back when I was a teen. Maybe its my mid life crisis, but I dont give a damn, she rocks! Funnilly enough its gun metal, N/A auto, 1990. She's seen some life so needs some TLC but thats what I wanted. Roll on the summer, cant wait ta get the t tops off and rip some tarmac :cool3:

Hey all. I'm not a Z owner (own a 200sx), but a fan of the cars nonetheless, and pretty much anything automotive. Just moved to the UK a few months back, so not familiar with much of anything but hope to run into some of you guys at meets or on the road.

I registered yesterday and thought I'd say 'Hi' to everyone. I own a N/A 300zx Fairlady auto import which I purchased from 'ebay' last May. Always wanted to own a 300 since I was about twelve (that wasn't yesterday, ha!). There's just something about the shape that does it for me, I suppose I'm a bit of a purist and not really taken with the various bodykits available but, hey, each to their own. My car has been SORNd since November 2010 but a few things being done and I'll be back on the road this week. Nice to have the opportunity to reach out to fellow owners. Regards PS I live in Greenock, SW Scotland, don't see that many Zs about.
