Newbies - let yourselves be known

Hi folks,I'm Billy, been here for a couple of weeks so I thought I'd best say hello. First up I don't own a Zed as yet although I'm hoping to have one early next year. I currently have an IS 200 Sport (my 3rd one) and although I plan to keep it I want a Zed also. I've been a long time admirer of the 300ZX and now I have set my mind on owning one. Anyway, I look forward to being around and hopefully being a 300ZX owner early next year.

Hello! I've just bought my first Z31 - 3L V6 N/A - 80k on the clock and everything still works!! Not sure if I have many plans, maybe some coilies but i think it looks nice standard, previous car was a stage 2 s13 which has now failed the mot on rust so here i am! thanks Jon

Hi guys, just bought my first 300ZX last week and am loving it so far! My recent cars have been 2.8 Golf VR6's and 2.2 Honda Prelude's but I wanted to step up to some turbo-charged, RWD action. :cool2: It's pretty much standard I think with the exception of a couple of bits and pieces. It was imported from Japan around 2004. There are a couple of jobs that need doing - some more important than others though..... I'm looking forward to being it's owner.

Hey all just joined and a proud owner of my first 300zx TT. I will post some pics as soon as i find where my daughter has hid the cam. What can I say ! everyone of my mates said i was mad to buy a 20yr old sports car,but we all know better dont we.... Had my first kick in the nuts with it this week tho when i went to get the aircon gased, damm R12 gas but sorted now! loads and loads of question to ask but the first is, can you find out the spec of your Z from the vin plate? p.s i may post in the wrong place from time to time so be nice when pointing it out and my spelling sucks :)

Last night i purchased my first Zed :D after trading in my clio 182 cup, lost a lot of money but so far worth it. i now own a 1991 Auto twin turbo 2+2 z and its amazing, the sence of presence on the road is overwhelming. i got my first of very few mods this morning...Aero wiper blades! ;) needs work doing such as new heater matrix a service and some fibreglass filler also i think the NS front damper is knackered. Also any got any good ways to clean up the original mats its as if they have been dipped in Mcdonalds chip fat ovens then been dragged through a quarry so advice on that would be helpful. so anyway yeah, hey all.

hi everyone - i wanted to say hello. I have a 1993 Japanese import 3L TT - and it's a beauty. Having trouble finding a knowledgeale garage... Nissan can't get parts anymore, unless you wait months... does anyone know if ZTech are still operating? Or Zed Cars? Any suggestions appreciated - i travel between London and Wiltshire. Thanks...

hello all, just joined the forum this pm as I am at the moment in the process of looking for a 300ZX to buy. However as I am a member of the Almera Owners Club, I know better than to buy a car without consulting people like yourselves to find out what I should look out for when buying a ZX... So - can I ask: What is everyone's take on the N/A version - is it good or do I stick to the twin turbo? What is the difference in performance like? What should I look for as give aways that a car has had a bad past other than the obvious? What do you guys pay in insurance and are there any good deals for insuring these cars? I can't think of any mo…

Proud owner of a 1992 Jap import V6 Z in pearl yellow. 109000k on the clock, all the import docs, MOTs etc Here shes is I am in LOVE - had the sweetest drive back from Leeds to Boro - can't wait til tomorrow - gonna wash and shine her and take lots more pics. Oh and drive her a bit more. Gonna pick up the nipper from nursery in her then tuck her up in the garage for the night - if she fits lol Ta for all your advice - you will see a lot more of me on here :clap::clap::clap:

Haven't actually got a Z yet, I have just sold my MR2 so am in the market for a Z! Looking for some tips on insurance - I'm 37 and female so hoping not to pay thru the nose for fully comp so any recommendations would be great. Seen a couple of Zs online which I am hoping to view this week... Cheers all :clap:

Hi all, Just a quick hi to everyone here, Im new to the Z scene but everyone Ive spoken to seems really friendly and genuinely passionate about this motor - which is nice :) Mine is a '91 UK manual TT, its got a zeemax front bumper and rear spoiler, finished in ferarri red, 18" piaa split rims, and HIDs. engine wise.... no idea! lol currently in the workshop having cambelt and water pump replaced, but according to my mechanic (who also owns a uk na Z) its quick! Ive just changed the pads and while i was under there noticed it had tokico whites on it. Thats about all i know, but Im learning... as things pack up! lol Anyways, Hope to see so…

hi to all, i've had my zed for over a year now its a 1990 jap LWB auto with a gearbox problem ie when it get hot it stops....! so i have done a manual conversion plus other few things.

Hey guys, i'm Rob from coventry. I bought my zx last week so thought i'd join up :) She a '91 UK spec 300zx Twin Turbo LWB. Completley standard at the minute, but as soon as my other car is out of the garage and sold the work can start haha Only got this pic so far. Ignore the odd wheels haha, the rears are getting new tyres atm :p

hello. im matt from tyldesley in manchester .. ive just purchased a 1991 300zx twin tub manual. its in a bad state major oil leak and needs welding,, i am a garage owner s im gona do the work aroud the paing customers lookking orward to gettn thebeast on the road!!!!:rockon:

as i've added a 300 to my collection its good to meet like minded people plus i'm sure i will need advice and will need parts both replacement and additions. must admit i dont have much access to the net and i'm not very good at using forums so bare with me.

hello im a newbie and got the z bug. mines a 1990 z non turbo in red. needs a little work and some advice would be great. how much to get the cambelt/timing belt changed and serviced as im not great on self maintenance? also if anyone has any 18" after market wheels for sale please let me know as im after some thanks
