Having owned my 300 for a couple of years now, I thought I'd better make the union official and join the club! It's a manual 300 n/a (n/a unfortunately - I didn't look at the advert properly, drove 350 miles to see it and still didn't notice till I took it for a test drive! Trouble is I'd already fallen in love so had to have it - plus my poor pug 306 would not have made the return journey!!) I had a 200sx for a few years and alway loved it and was looking for another. They are so hard to find, so I ended up "just checking" the 300 ads and that was that. I use mine as an every day car and regularly travel to Newcastle and Coventry from Cornwall. Only mods are HID…

Hi all, my name is Steve and I am currently NOT the owner of a 300zx!!!! I will be buying one during the summer but thought it would be a good idea to get started on finding a good un. I have been interested in 300Zx's for ages now and nearly bought one in 2004-5 but ended up with a VX220 instead. Many cars later I have decided its time for a ZX but I am very fussy. If a car rattles then its in the garage being sorted. This is what I would like, could anyone tell me how hard this could be: Preferably in pearl white, black or yellow (dodgy colour I know), possibly gun metal grey Targa Top Twin Turbo 2+2 Slightly modified, exhaust, BOV, splitters maybe n…

Hey all. I'm a nasty horrible person that wants to buy a 300zx and chop it up :( basically, I'm attempting to rwd my civic, I looked at honda engines but most rotate the wrong way and the s2k has nearly a 10" shorter wheelbase than the EK hatch so that would mean an expensive custom propshaft and fabbing 10" of trans tunnel plus i want a turbo so thats more expense right there - so i started looking around at other cars with a similar wheelbase and the 300zx is less than 2" difference, nearlt the same track width, has plenty of power, turbos as standard and still has japanese reliability it's a bit of a crazy project, but I dont fancy spending thousands of poun…

Hi to my fellow 300zx fans. My name is Ryan, and im in the Southwest UK (Somerset area) Im new to the 300zx, so thought I would sign up and do some research before I part with hard earned cash. Looking forward to this interesting read. Anyway, I have NEVER owned a 300zx TT, but almost bought on a few years ago. Now Im returning to the import scene, its number one on my list this time round. Previous imports I have owned are three GTO TT's, an R33 GTS, three MR2 Tubbies, an S14 200sx and 2 FTO GPX Mivecs. However about 3 years ago, I started driving more modern European cars, like the ST500 and currently a DS3r. I want the 300zx to be my daily …

Hi guys, Newbie here looking to buy my first 300zx, which is going to be my new daily driver replacing my 9-3 Aero. Any specific zx faults that I should look out for? I would prefer a manual but I'm coming round to the idea, I've always though auto's were abit..gay but I'm coming around to the idea, especially with it being my everyday running project. What are the auto's like? I've ALWAYS wanted a Fairlady, but something has always got in the way of me buying one, I was actually going to buy a GTO tt, but sense has prevailed ;) With it being my daily, how reliable are they? I'm either going for a minter or the other end of the scale and buy somet…

Hi I'm John I have just got my first Z as a fixer upper after a bad time with a Supra. I've had many Japanese performance cars but always liked the shape of a Z. Its a bit tatty and runs badly but at £500 for a road legal manual TT I can't loose i hope...

Hi guys I'm new here.My name is Alex and I'm from Italy.Came here to do some search on VG30DETT engine, if everything will be ok I will swap this to my s13 body. If I'm not mistaken the VG engine is easyer than the RB26 and it costs less money so it is the perfect way to go for cheap power and v6 is better than the str8 6.The only thing left to do is to learn where its weak points are...I hope you guys will give me a hand with this, thanks and by the way sorry for the mistakes that I made when I was writing, I 'm trying to do my best.

Hi guys, just thought i'd say hello! Hunting for my first Z. Owned an RX-7 FD3s for 4 years.. stupidly sold it to refurb garage/flat roof extension in need of repair last november and am now hunting for my next bhp fix. Always been a huge Z fan, and hoping that manta-v8 pics up on the fact i've replied to his ancient for sale thread that was recently bumped :P its the only V6 twin turbo motor out there i fancy owning after rotary sequential twin madness so i hope one pops up soon! p.s. if anyone with PM abilities or manta-v8's phone number would like to poke him, feel free :D anyone, hopefully a Z32 owner soon!

First , HI to all the forum ! I recently aquired my first 300zx , it's a TT manual LWB and completely stock. I paid very little money for it because it has a knackered engine but the rest seems to be in good shape. My plans for it are replacing the engine , polish and fix some details here and there and just enjoy driving it in the weekends. Here are some pics from the day I picked it. BTW, anyone can recomend me a reputable supplier of engines or 300zx breaker? Thanks again.
