oh *****x!! Well my car has been at the bodyshop for over a week so thats my excuse and i'm sticking to it! :)

Black plastic thingy mounted on the out side of the drivers side throttle body (i think thats where it is?) with wires coming out. You need a voltage meter and the correct readings at various throttle positions. All you do is loosen the fastenings and rotate it slightly to adjust it. Good luck mate

Just a dumb thought really but if you disconect the vacuum line that activates the opening of the recirc and then conect this same vacuum line to the BOV's instead, won't the stock recircs just stay shut all the time...? Might provide a temorary solution at least...?

IT'S A SMALL WORLD!! Bit of a long story but the guy who now owns this car is called Lance (lives in/near Chepstowe). His best mate (Duncan) baught my last car (prelude) off me last October under the advisement of Lance who has a Prelude also, so he came along to examine mine. I had come down to south Wales last weekend to deliver some spares to Duncan that I had lying around from the old prelude when Lance turned up in this car. It really is as good as it looks and the interior is a real jaw dropper. However, as a comfort to you guys worried about resale prices; please note the action did not reach the reserve. I happen to know that Lance paid just a little less than the "buy it now" price for it :) I did tell him to get his butt on the forum too, so hopefully we'll hear from him soon.

I wish I could agree with that but the human race is not that evolved. For some reason mankind needs conflict - It pathetic but true!! Take away the current topical favourite subject for justifying violence (but of course you cant justify violence unless you are a thoughtless animal acting on instinct alone, however when you have a concious self awareness what's your excuse?) - Religion. Take that away and you'd still have Racism, Football hooligans, Financial divide, etc... Scraping religion is a step forward none the less. If people believed in themselves enough they wouldn't need a god.

I agree 100% with Vini, This guy is one of the bigest threats not only to the western world but also to the muslim faith through the promotion of intolorence. But then what can you do with him now? If you impison him it wont slience him, If you extradite him he'll do exactly the same werever he goes, If you kill him (which is better than he deserves) he becomes a martyr.... Racism is clearly defined as an unlawfull prejudice against any person based on their particular race. This is something completely different to discrimination of faith. I am not a raciist, although i live in a small rural comunity where there are almost no ethnic minorities and this in itself doesn't allow us many opportunities to mingle with other races and religions - I would still like to see white kids playing with african, asian, oriental kids on school playgrounds and growing up to form strong bonds with each other. Religion on the other hand seems to have overtaken race as a leading cause for racial divide, and because racism caries more legal weight and social condemnation, religeous factions hide behind a racist cloak when the eyes of the world can't understand why they see what they're seeing. We're all human, all born the same way, hurt the same way, bleed the same way, die the same way. There seems to be a good mix of people on here. but more importantly, we all get along (most of the time) That's the most anyone can hope/pray for. I don't care what race or religion anyone is, I will shake their hand and drink with them as a friend regardless. Why can't everyone share this simple view?

Religion is primative. God (an imaginery friend for grown-ups) is like Santa Clause - He doesn't really exist!!! Why don't they see the Bible,the Quran, any other holy books for what the really are... WORKS OF FICTION AND NOTHING MORE!!! I live for life, belive in science. The world would be a better place if there were no religions at all. Almost all violent acts of genoside by mankind over our colourfull history were commited in the name of god (by what ever name the savages chose to call him). In this age of computers and space exploration there is no place for the simpleton belief in a higher power. We control our own life and to a lesser extent our own fate. If they love their God so much, why don't the do us all a favour and piss off back to him, but without taking any additional inocent lives with them.

How do you handle the boost then? Do you need an adjustable in-car tap or just a jet to increase it and live with a permanent increased boost setting? How much boost can you push it to (safely)? Thanks Andy :) I appologise if I seemed a little off (maybe just a little BA with less jewlery) and I'll be the first to admit I do occaisonally get on my high horse and crusade in the name of the righteous, but i was a bit taken aback by my coments being quoted out of context and doused with sarcasm. Reading that guys page about ecu remapping has opened up a new and overwhelming world of knowledge. Which should be what this forum is for discussing... right? So the freware maps that i studied yesterday seem to cover most of the angles... How much more can you expect to gain by paying for a more expesive one?

I'm all for capitolism and that's a fair price if they're building you a custom AFM map taylored to your specific car. But if all you're getting for your £50 is a free downloadable map (that someone over in japan has spent hours of their time and effort building and is decent enough to demand nothing in return but that his maps be shared FOR FREE!!), written to an eprom that costs less than a fiver using a machine that costs less than 200quid... that's just a little mean IMHO! :smash:

just spend all afternoon reading up about this... i'm ready for my exam now!!! ...and the last place i worked in had an eprom writer. would have been handy about now!!! I was told by the guys at Zworld that i'm runing and minor tweek aftermarket chip (?), I'm hoping therefore that my ECU has been socketed (i will check). Can someone supply me with / and what would the cost be for an eprom with the 310z.bin file on it? Thank you please

Every car ever made has holes you could pick in them - that's a ****ing stupid thread. Tweed seats and dodgy headlights is a pretty easy let-off if you ask me... Iit's an auto you could be lucky - fingers crossed for you mate.

The tracks on the factory pressure switch (variable resistor) wear out leaving you with a false low reading. Not heard of false highs. I have the same problem on my Mrs MX5 could be a faulty oilstat in the oil cooler.
