  1. Welcome back! :thumbup1:
  2. What a fantastic day [emoji41] The fam and myself thoroughly enjoyed it again, utterly spoilt by the weather, a seriously good collection of cars, an unbeatable venue for value and things to do and to top it all off, people voted a 300zx as their favourite! When I saw that NSX pull up next to me I had already thrown in the towel, that machine was a petrolheads dream! I heard the guy paid 120k for it but regardless of the price tag, the car had some serious presence so when they announced the winner I was genuinely gobsmacked! At the risk of sounding big headed, it was like Coventry all over again, speechless! Thankyou to everyone that voted, thankyou to all the members that made the day, thankyou to the club for being awesome! (not a recognised "club" with insurance companies? Pfff) thankyou to Stephen for the efforts and organising and thankyou to Jimmer for building this beast all those years ago; still going strong! Excluding the elation of winning the top prize amongst the 1200 cars and 2500 people (there goes the head expansion again!), this show is hands down the best show on the calendar and I urge anyone considering making the trip; DO IT! My only criticism, where were the blinking banners! [emoji16]
  3. A friend of mine from work would like to join us as he's not a member of any of the clubs if that's ok? He has an RB5 Impreza and is happy to park his car to the side if he doesn't find somewhere else. He's not been to this sort of event before, would that be ok Stephen?
  4. Sounds like a "Rescue Richard[emoji769] Mission" is forming [emoji106]
  5. I use the ARC on mine as sold by MeisterR but as Chris said, any water displacing anti corrosion spray will help longevity. Mine still look tidy but again, I don't really use it in bad weather. Doesn't excuse the fact that the coating is sub-standard though and doesn't bode well for the brand.
  6. Ah yes the antenna, I didn't spot that as I'm so used to seeing mine without it now, it's become "the norm". Whilst I wasn't bothered by the washer jets, having seen it on a couple of cars now, it is another nice touch.
  7. A UK rear with filled in fog lamps, nice detail [emoji106]
  8. Good job thanks Stephen [emoji41]
  9. A good read, thanks Gary [emoji106]
  10. I'd rather have a TT over a TT.
  11. Hell yes [emoji41]
  12. The £10 tickets are only valid if entering in a Japanese car.
  13. A decent system on that Art [emoji106]
  14. Haha, Simon's wipers are for display and MOT purposes only!
  15. There are a few other companies making kits for this purpose but I agree with Stephen, using the data available from Andrew's kit, I think a kit could be knocked up really quite easily. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151350859932
  16. Alternatively, Nismo bushes and a 300degree (or equivalent) camber adjustment shim kit.
  17. Aim to leave Fleet services at 7 Howard?

  19. When Simon, Andrew and I went on our France road trip, mine developed a coolant leak, which subsequently turned into an even bigger leak once we repaired/stopped the first leak! We noticed that there was a significant difference between the water pressure in the hoses between our cars and mine were quite hard to squeeze due to the pressure. I replaced the stock cap for a new one and it returned to normal so I suspect the cap had failed. With the cap being the only thing you have replaced and how recent it was, it's possible that it could be faulty too but I think it's most likely solely caused by the increase of pressure in the system finding its way out of a weak spot. On the bright side, it's fortunate that you discovered it when you did and not having to pull over on a long run when you get the reliable "steam pouring out from your bonnet" overheat indication!
  20. I would suspect the increased pressure from the rad cap has caused a hose that was on its way out or damage on the radiator to let go. I would personally stick with the stock cap which is around a fiver from Nissan, but for now I think your only option is to get the car up to temp and try to trace the leak.
  21. Finished it off nicely [emoji41][emoji106]
  22. Ah shucks Richard, hopefully it'll be a simple fix, top up and go job.
