  1. Thanks Chris. The plans are seemingly never ending and as I plough through my to-do lists and wish lists, they seem to continue to get longer! It’s far from perfection in my eyes and never will be, but I’m happy with that and it’s kind of intentional! The quest for perfection is a road to disappointment, divorce and bankruptcy! [emoji23] I really enjoy driving the car and love the way it looks, although somewhere down the extensive list (filed in the ‘[emoji15] how bloody much!’ section, is a different set of wheels to mix it up a bit, which is certainly the most aesthetically altering item noted. PS, if you’re attending the AGM, I’ll be taking the drone with me. I’m hoping to get some great footage at our hotel the day before.
  2. ... but they ain’t half pretty! Is it possible to tire of it’s 30 year old beauty? So many good angles on these machines [emoji41][emoji327]
  3. Don’t forget the jp-carparts website has the JDM catalogue attached: Lots of numbers there to get you started, seemingly varying with the colour code? https://jp-carparts.com/nissan/partlist.php?maker=nissan&type=132&cartype=25&fig=620
  4. There are still quite a few fantastic condition Z’s tucked away. If you want to splash £20k+ on one, maybe you should start a wanted ad with your budget and expectations to flush them out!

  6. That’ll be from a series 2+ Russ. Many of the pin outs of the connectors are subtly different too, I would sell it and purchase the correct cluster so you don’t give yourself a headache introducing more gremlins!
  7. Happy Birthday Fella [emoji106]
  8. Hi Trev, you can get the pintle caps separately. https://conceptzperformance.com/nissan-infiniti-jecs-early-style-fuel-injector-pintle-cap-nissan-300zx-z32-16600-00p00_p_3875.php Though I suspect you could probably get one in the UK, maybe from a used injector. They’re the same for both early TT and N/A injectors.
  9. I’d recommend mocking up something to represent the underside of your vents and sticking them under your bonnet to test for clearance as it really does vary depending on the exact position.
  10. Hi and welcome to the club [emoji106]
  11. I love the sense of occasion when taking the Z to work, I’m taking mine in today! [emoji41]
  12. Today I popped into town and finally remembered to take my spare key in to get it cut, I’ve only had it for about 6 years! Anyway, the guy that did it (Timpsons) had no interest in doing it properly, did a terrible job, f**ked it right up and it doesn’t work at all! Awesome! I was going to do a before and after shot, but I’ll just stick with the before!
  13. Hi Anthony, glad to hear you’re getting your Z back up and running. [emoji106] You can see the possible/likely leak points from the drawing in the illustrated parts catalogue... If the fuel system remains untouched since it left the factory, then I would recommend a complete overhaul. Remove and replace all the fuel hoses up to the filter for quality replacements and reinstall with the newer, maintenance free, spring style clamps. These expand and contract with the hose as it goes through it’s heat cycle and not cut into it requiring frequent tightening. You should also consider replacing the fuel pressure regulator and fuel dampener for new OEM replacements.
  14. The UK plate mount will cover up the holes from the removed JDM plate mount anyway. Yes it will fit.
  15. That looks fantastic, you’re quite local to me too as I’m not far from Braintree.
  16. These used to be quite popular but with the increased availability of larger calipers at affordable prices (such as Evo Brembo or the bolt on Brembo from the 350z/Skyline GTR - no brackets required), the demand for these has dwindled. Smithy’s Place and DTA used to sell these I think but they’re no longer in business so I think you’re probably better off making them yourself if you have the means to. Jimmer used to have these made and maybe you could contact him about using the drawings for them.
  17. The stock tyres on the JDM cars would be 225/50-16 all round and the rears on a UK (or US TT) would be 245/45-16.
  18. Do you want to paint the mirror base or just the shells (the section that rotates in/out)?
