Hi, welcome to the club. Top end figures are a useless statistic imo, unless you are building specifically to try and set a target top speed. It is my understanding that the 'theoretical' top speed of the gearbox is a tad over 180mph, how long it takes to get there...? My advice for acceleration is simply to test drive a few and feel it for yourself. The 0-60 figures on 20 year old cars will probably vary quite a lot and you will find very few zeds without some form of minor power modifications so again that would just be a number. I'm sure there will also be members local to you that would be willing to either take you out or let you drive theirs and offer help/advice.

gravity bleeding
Push your car into the back of a suitable aeroplane... Once at a suitable altitude, I'd say about 27,358ft, undo the nipples and push the car out. It should be well bled once it.. erm.. lands!

brembro brakes
You should start from the furthest brake from the master cylinder, which incidentally is the pax side front and work your way to the closest brake to the bmc. So, pax front, drivers front, pax rear, drivers rear and importantly as you've broken the system, the abs pump.

Over 40 hours awake!...
Let me know when you're flying... I'll 'go over' it for you muhahaha! Skipper worked out the cost of the day to be about 15k in fuel plus our wages! If you mean travelling about as a perk, I guess I take it for granted really as we quite regularly galavant around to various places, although rarely for such a seemingly pointless task. I'd consider a perk as discounted flights... no chance! Always jobs going matey :)

Over 40 hours awake!...
Cripes, I slept for 14 hours! After a seriously long night/day yesterday. I started a nightshift on Wednesday night and as it was my first night on, I do what I normally do, wake up around 9am (little lie in!), stay awake all day and go to work. I'm an engineer for an airline. The first night is always a hard slog but on Wednesday night/ Thursday morning about 4am we had a problem with an aeroplane in Malta... not unusual to have one go pear shaped down route, so I hop on our Learjet which was bought especially for attending to nadgered planes. A fair old trek down to Malta at over 3 hours (especially on my lonesome) and we park up next to the broken plane, I hop off my private jet (lol) and put a 6/32" (tiny) screw in part of the fwd entry door which probably took less than a minute, sign up the paperwork and off we go back home again. Up to this point a relatively normal down route jolly... On the long trip home, flying over Paris @ 40,000ft, I was taking in the views watching the in flight 'airshow' which shows you the route, eta, what's around and all sorts of exciting details! when the inflight phone rang in the flight deck, the skipper answered it and then started pressing buttons on his screen which edits the flight plan. This also edits the 'airshow' screen and it soon became apparent that we weren't going home! The skipper gives me the phone and I was asked by our maintenance controllers if I was up for diverting to Krakow, Poland to inspect a bird strike. I'm always up for a little adventure so off we go after an unscheduled stop in Paris to fill up with fuel. Another 3 hours flying, we park up next to the plane (full of punters) that was, by this point, delayed by nearly 4 hours, I hop off my private jet! A quick inspection of the #2 engine, which was covered in guts and feathers to assess the damage, all is good so I raise paperwork for a boroscope inspection that night, sign everything up and off we go again. Didn't get home until 6pm Thursday afternoon so I was given that night off, but I didn't feel tired and was awake till about 2am this morning (playing bf3!). Top sleep! 40,000ft over Turin (Alps):

r32 gtr brake calipers?
R32 GTR calipers are the same as stock tt calipers. If you're after the brembos you'll need R32 GTR V-spec or R33/34 GTR calipers.

2fast2cool Upgraded SMICs any good?
http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?163797-Big-Side-mount-intercoolers I'd take a punt at these for that price if I was in the market for intercoolers. Get in there quick though, I wouldn't expect them to be for sale very long.

Has anyone raised the steering column?
That's the one... I'll have a search. Haha, I have the seat as low as possible, I guess I'm too tall!
-
Has anyone raised the steering column?
I find my steering wheel sits a bit low in my desired seating position, has anyone raised the position of the wheel a little? I'm sure I read of someone doing it a while back and just wondered what sort of a job it was...

Who can make me
Dan, as slick pete mentioned, these could be quite easily fabricated by a local machinist.

front fogs converted from/ into supplementary dipped beam lights.

Slight Vibration
Is a TT single piece prop a different price Jeff?

hi may of been asked before but
With R33 brembos, yes. If you went for the 350z calipers you will need 350z discs as the offset is different.
-
Looks like engine out again :(
Agreed, unless the bolt holes for the manifold are 2" diameter! That said its probably worth investigating the alignment of the manifold as per his advice but passing that off as the reason for the exhaust being that far out is a bit cheeky imo.
-
Move over!
Haha, I'm gonna put a sticker in the zed rear screen saying 'running in new 1400bhp engine...' !!
-
hi may of been asked before but
The only direct bolt on brembo is from the R33 GTR which will go on no probs all round. The R34 GTR will fit all round but you'll have to open out the holes in the hub, similarly, the 350z brembos fit up front with the same hub mods but don't even bother with 350z rears.
