The 300zx.co.uk 25th anniversary of the Z32 celebration event......
I better park mine outside then! I was hoping to get mine freshly painted for the "show" :p but it's been delayed. I'll have to put up with the tired pink paint job but I can't use the excuse that it's a track car, function form function fade! Either way, I look forward to seeing a nice array of zeds :)

June 1st Next meet.
A bit of bad luck I think. Although compared to a Monday to Friday job, I agree, too many working weekends :( I work a 4on 4off shift so I have a fair amount of time off (half the year before I've even taken paid leave lol) but as it trundles in and out of weekends, it can be a pain!

Bugger, going to have to sit this one out, working again! Shame as the zed is ready for action now too :(

Quiet around these parts
Whilst I have noticed a steady decline, I am still a prolific user, I log in several times a day, more or less every day from my phone and I view probably 99% of threads. I use tapatalk pro and I think it works well for the use as a forum browser, I have no real issues with it. The only thing I miss slightly about browsing on a PC (which I virtually never do anymore) is the signature pictures, which acts as a constant reminder of what members cars look like, what projects they're working on etc, it gives it a more community feel.

A peek inside the series 2 ptu :)
I thought the reliable S2 ptu could be picked up fairly cheaply nowadays (especially on US eBay)? Maybe the time, effort, R&D required wouldn't make it cost effective?

A peek inside the series 2 ptu :)
It will then no longer be a Mitsubishi 300zx and will become a Dicky96 300zx!

What's the best brake pads to use on a Twin Turbo Zed
Even then, it may be an idea to have separate, more expensive pads, just for track days and just swap them over on the day.
-
What did you do to your zed today?
170mph on the M4 would actually be very useful. What a dull and dreary drive that is! 170mph should see it pass with relative haste, I'm going to have the M4 speed limit raised to 170mph as from tomorrow morning.

What's the best brake pads to use on a Twin Turbo Zed
For road use I'd go for the £30 brembos, if they don't bite sharply or they feel insufficient, your money is better spent on a brake overhaul. New seals and a fluid change (DIY) would still be a saving over the more expensive pads suggested. Assuming you aren't the sort of person to go full bore braking into several roundabouts and racing around country roads, the £30 brembos should perform perfectly well.

Can't create a classified listing
I think you have to set the listing length as the very last step. It seems that some things reset it (for example adding pictures) which I agree is very frustrating.

Carbon Fibre Scuttle Panels
I like it... Stuff it, I'm getting some carbon scuttles and a modern mona.
-
any idea what these would weigh in at
With discs, ouch! I think you'll struggle to find a reasonably priced courier for those chap. You'll probably have to separate then into 2 even parcels to get a decent price.

Carbon Fibre Scuttle Panels
Just buy oem ones, they look nicer too IMO.

Which motorbike?
If you book a track day at brands, I'd love to bring the zed down for a blat too Vig. Not sure if they have mixed bike/car days though?

Boot installs....... and Targa Panels eek!!
Hey Andrew, I'm sure I spoke to you about this the other week, but do you have a stick z32 space saver in there? Surely that doesn't fit over your AP fronts?

the weight question
-
Hey!
Looks like DarksideTT (Neil's) recently built/painted zed? Welcome to the club buddy.
-
the weight question
My word, that's some serious weight loss on a LWB TT, what did you do, cut out the chassis rails? Have you detailed your weight loss program in a thread anywhere?

New product: TwinZ rear bumper with diffuser
I'd go for the bolt on diffuser. IMO the full bumper hangs down too low in the bottom corners, the bolt on looks more oem to me, plus it's a nice saving. Shipping is expensive but twinchip are a very good company to deal with and will sort you out a nice deal of you team up with others. I've bought from them a couple of times now and have made significant savings this way. I think they will ship around 3-4 bolt on diffusers in one box so if you get others in with you, this will lower the cost. http://www.twinchip.com/product_info.php?info=p192_z32-twinz-design-2-seater-diffuser.html
