  1. Black with the orange brembo logo would look pretty damn nice, but I also think that orange with a black brembo logo would look the part considering the styling you have chosen. I don't think you can go wrong either way.

  3. Happy birthday :)
  4. From the general line up of replies I think it's more aiming at the noise commonly referred to as "wastegate chatter" and the relationship with bov or recircs. Here is my simplified understanding of the noise and the best ways to pronounce it: Blank off the recirc valves and have no atmospheric bov creating a closed system. When coming off boost this now means the pressurised air can only exit the way it came in. In turn this stalls/surges the turbo and the pressure changes confuse the wastegate, a combination of which creates the noise you're after. As Simon mentioned, a less restrictive filter would make the noise more audible, as would more boost. The noise is generally more apparent on single turbos cars due to running high psi. In theory it's not good practice for turbo longevity but I've also heard of people doing many miles with no issues like this. I wouldn't recommend it. I'm not an expert on the subject and stand to be corrected if any info is inaccurate.
  5. It's an interesting question. We had some shows run a few of years back, Z008, Z009 and Z010 (not sure when it stopped but the last one was cancelled and it never returned) which were actually quite successful. Maybe the majority of the membership aren't too interested in showing alongside other marques and are more interested in more Z specific show/meets?
  6. DarksideTT has sold his newly built zed, so I guess that's one standby place that can be filled?
  7. If the engine is strong and healthy then it has some value but I can't help but think that all the other gumph has just devalued it significantly. I'm not a fan of the styling personally and can't understand the matte body with gloss bumpers and skirts, it looks like he hasn't yet finished the kit since installing. I get the impression that the sound system has been designed purely for numbers and has very little focus on sound quality, I can't see why else you would try and cram that many speakers in the back like that.
  8. Haha yeah c'mon Simon, where's all that money gone on your 'standard' zed :p
  9. Disregard. http://m.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/nissan-300-zx-highly-modified/1063794730
  10. Do you have a link to the actual for sale ad?
  11. Now you're just taking the p**s. A whole fricking hour ago since you posted this tease...
  12. Maybe Jimmer is the man to ask :)
  13. I'm after the little round plastic trim piece on the rear quarter that finishes the electric aerial/power antenna. No preference of colour as long as it is in one piece. Joel.
  14. Happy birthday matey
  15. Lol, I double stand corrected back! I thought those vertical B pillar sections were bolted on.
  16. LWB door cards will fit, as will the doors if you remove the B pillar section.
  17. Get well soon Mandy :)
  18. Almost there, still on the hunt for targa glass and one of the drop glass.
  19. Can you confirm you got my details please?
  20. I've seen the name pop up a few times lately with thanks from members for going above and beyond and he's gone and done it again! Not only did Keith give me a great price on some glass that I was after for the zed, he also drove the width of the country to deliver it to me to ensure it arrived safe. Once again Keith, thankyou very much for your efforts and I hope to have more time to have a good chinwag next time. Nice to meet you matey :) Joel.
  21. Not today but over the last couple of days I've been doing the final prep for an mot after an 'extensive amount of time' off the road! I've done a fairly substantial amount of work during this time and the car now owes me an even more ridiculous amount if man hours! Still, thankfully it sailed through its mot with no advisories and the chap that did the mot, along with some of his colleagues, all had a good look round and gave some very flattering compliments on the car and it's condition. :) I have been enjoying the car for the last couple of days, it still feels very strong and everything mechanically seems to be performing as advertised even though it's been sat for some time, other than the aircon which needs servicing. It was the first drive since carrying out a few different upgrades, including some suspension changes and the car felt amazing to drive even without being setup professionally. This will be a fairly short lived enjoyment as I'll be stripping it back down again soon to be shipped to custom exotics and given a nice fresh coat of paint.
